These are specifically made for oscar voters and critics, not for people. Only Bale deserves an award out both the movies.

Oscar is overrated. yeah. none of the american ones I would say. those saturn awards, guild awards (screen actors, writers and directors) are equally worse. they dish out awards to watever academy selects. :haha: I like only razzie awards :giggle: 12 years a slave is the only movie that deserves many nominations. cannes jury, bafta and golden globe are the only awards I respect.

Yeah, they are mostly hosted prior to the Oscars and the winners are usually what Bafta or Golden Globe confirms. Still a big deal for 'Murican actors.

maniac Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I guess,Just because a movie is a commercial blockbuster it becomes the in thing to call it lame lol.....I thoroughly enjoyed Gravity,Kept me on the edge of the seat throughout. They created a space like environment...I repeat A BELEIVABLE SPACE LIKE ENVIRONMENT(even if it was on graphics)........Thats a miracle of cinema,a spectacle.....Just because it had Sandra Bullock in it and made millions of dollars it gets all the hate lol. A good movie,well researched,got you invested brilliantly filmed,Good performance and most importantly succesful,what else do you need. Also I will stop watching movies if Jonah hill wins an oscar.
