vishalvirsingh Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Any reason why Dhoni is so biased towards ISHANT, Jadeja, Raina and is against UMESH, BHuvi, erst while Sreesanth, Pankaj Singh, Varun Aroon and so many............. i understand raina jaddu ishant r his friends but when ALL in the world know that Raina wont suceed outside india- why is he fighting the world for raina??? a friend of mine who knows very little of cricket said this that raina does not know how to play bouncers and others r exploiting this weakness to the hilt and 9 out of 10 times he wud be attacked wildly?? if raydu plays he wont be attacked like a pack of wolf( pack of bouncers are thrown at raina and one bouncers gets raina some how).....same happened to ganguly and same is happening to raina, as soon as it was realised that ganguly had created a weakness of bouncers/short pitched, his Test career was cut down. i guess raydu will not fail because he would not have to undergo that kind of a test as Raina.. i bet raina will find it tuf and he shud play at no 7 or 6 if he is played as Raina is definitely a no 6 or no 7 player as his defence is not that strong- he plays too many shots and is the no 1 T 20 player always.

All know he does not support and grow FAST bowlers and Fast bowlers are the KEY to SUCEED outside of INDIA.. spinners wud win us matches only in india and India will be lions at home and failures abroad.... PLease selectors take a strong decision if DHONI cannot beat new zealand in new zealand in odi and tests - Please replace him. Take it in writing from me that if india cant beat newzealand in new zealand under DHONI... dhoni's india will be beaten black n blue by australia and england in coming trips and we all will be frustrated and why frustrated bcos better players and bowlers wud be serving drinks and inferrior players playing................ an under perforrmer ishant at low confidence is played ahead of a COnfident VARUN Aroon- ishant bowls at 129k average bowling 9 overs and giving 72 runs ...........I have never seen ishant bowling so SLOW even in flat indian tracks .....Note that BHUVI who is considered slowest averaged 133k and Mohammed Shammi averaged 139k............ when ishant is in rhythm he always had the capability to average 137k even if he is Unlucky....... ONly a FOOL will play 2 spinners in new zealand on those small grounds..........even a mis hit will go for a 6 on a short ground..........Spinners r murdered.........i was playing on cross maidan and twords the leg side there was a tree , i hit 4 sixes in an over as it was hardly any distance from where i was batting .. even my mis hit went for a 6..... please understand ashwin and jaddu will be hit more in the next match.

Where is it? This. I am absolutely gob-smacked that not a single commentator has pointed out this abject bankruptcy of cricketing logic in Dhoni's captaincy and player selection. Jadeja and Ashwin both selected for the same game in NZ? Did he even learn anything at all from the SA series? What is Raina and Ishant doing in the team? Rohit is playing solely on the merit of a 200 scored in home conditions many moons ago. 5 hangers on in a team of 11 is 5 too much.

The main problem lies elsewhere. It's more about the hold Srinivasan has on BCCI. His involvement in IPL fixing saga was investigated by a BCCI enquiry team. I mean come on. Just think about it rationally. On top of that, he is the owner of an IPL team and Dhoni leads that team. There is clear conflict of interests. But nobody seems to care about it. CSK players have being given a rope longer than The Great wall of China. How many CSK players are in this team? 4-5? I dare to say that, not a single one of them (except Dhoni (that too in LOIs only)) merits a place in this team. But they will never be dropped and still no one will ever object to it. Hail Indian politics and bureaucracy. :facepalm:
