NareshK Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It did not swing in West Indies Pitch was up and down not swing which is rohits problem And champions trophy ..just because match was in England does not means bowlers were swinging the ball Jaddu was highest wicket taker no? Are you even watching the games in NZ ? Saying the ball is swinging here is ridiculous.
Old guy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Are you even watching the games in NZ ? Saying the ball is swinging here is ridiculous. It did not swing in this match but like I said it's trend did it not swing in South Africa nd he lost form Iandnhe was missing the ball even here ..there is always little but when u bowl full
rkt.india Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 This series to him then bring Pujara from Asia cup to open and then in England. Anyone can score in India while opening. Challenge is to score outside Asia and these are flat tracks too. He will do jack in Aus on bouncier and pacier tracks with this indecisive timid batting.
King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Ridiculous Pujara not in odi squad, would love to him in for next game Crazy Yadav not in squad as well
rkt.india Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The deer that caught in my headlights the other night looked more composed than this fellow. And Dhawan -- I have had enough of him. You talk like one Lizaard guy. :winky:
King Tendulkar Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Pujara is good to play anchor role. Score 80 of 98 ball as such. Would relive pressure on Dhawan
rkt.india Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 It did not swing in West Indies Pitch was up and down not swing which is rohits problem And champions trophy ..just because match was in England does not means bowlers were swinging the ball Jaddu was highest wicket taker no? What? Did you watch those matches? Those were the toughest batting pitches I have seen in recent times. Swing, seam, bounce everything was there. You were never in on those pitches.
Gollum Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Sharma is a real FTB, period. Dhawan should be given a longer rope, half his troubles are because of the undue pressure this chewtiya Sharma is putting on him by playing at a SR of 20.
alexander Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I have a few days off work. Yes! FTR, Sharma isnt very good. He has rubbish technique. He's a FTB and all his runs came on those dead tracks v Aus.
skindia Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Dhawan uthappa gambhir kohli pujara rahane dhoni ideal top 7
ThePhenomenal1 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Guys, we don't have pujara so lets not waste time in saying he should play. We have rayudu on the bench. Get him in at 5 for Raina. Or.. drop rohit and get rahane to open. Though i dont know if rahane is up for it. Still, rayudu should play. Solid batsmen, im sure he could get us over the line
saneindian Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Throw out a guy who has scored so many runs last year because he failed in 2-3 games? When he hit that 200, he was destined for greatness, now suddenly doesn't even deserve a place. As for him not being able to play in tough conditions, runs in Eng and WI suggest otherwise. Problem in the team is not him, its with Dhoni's stubborn leadership and the continued selection of Ishant and Ashwin

Problem in the team is not him, its with Dhoni's stubborn leadership and the continued selection of Ishant and Ashwin 2-3 GAMES?! Do you even follow Indian cricket or are you so deep inside Nohits backside that you fail to see what he's doing. heres a summary of his last 10 ODI/Test innings. 12, 4, 18, 19, 14, 6, 0, 25, 3, 20.......And most of the ODI runs must have come at a strike rate of minus 20!!! Also let us not forget the umpteen chances he squandered before 2013!! He is useless outside India, inside the country against WI, Sri Lanka, Honolulu, Madagascar...no problems. But outside the country he is as useful as roller skates in the middle of the sea!!
cowboysfan Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 rohit cost us the match today, both sharmas are the main reason we are losing in nz.
Cricket_Hacker Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 rohit doesnt score, puts more pressure on dhawan...he succumbs try to hit out......then he himself gets out. after scoring at a crap strike rate..put even more pressure on Kohli and Dhoni..they have to take more risks.......and there's the Ishant factor....kaha se jeetenge?

Had you spent as time focusing on cricket as you did in abusing me, you would have also looked at what he did in the 10 innings prior to the numbers you posted. Give it a try, abuses can wait.
GautiMaan Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 ^ How long do u suggest we must persist with him, people thought he found his niche in opening, there too he's struggling

Give it a try, abuses can wait. Can he be tried down the order now ? His technique just is not good enough outside subcontinent and rahane can actually score 50 some thing runs at decent rate in power plays without trouble Before rohit we need to get rid of ishant and Raina Dhawan and rohit deserve longer run but we have to change something which is not working
saneindian Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 ^ How long do u suggest we must persist with him, people thought he found his niche in opening, there too he's struggling How many ODIs has he failed in? 4-5? The guy scored 1200+ runs in 2013, scored a 200 just 6-7 matches ago, although in easier batting conditions. As a pair Rohit and Dhawan have been fairly successful with lots of 100+ partnerships. Have not adjusted well to conditions in SA and NZ but still deserve this series and the Asia Cup before being chucked out.
vvvslaxman Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 He was out of depth as middle order as well.. only spot where he is yet to prove his unworthiness is lower order.
