Should they be given one more shot before world cup??? I would take these 3 over the 3 names I mentioned any day. Talking solely in terms of Lois ....I think rahane has been standout for me this year in tests.

Irfan could come back if he is fit, at least as a bowler who can bat a bit but his bowling has gone down over the years. DK was given chances but he was too inconsistent and didnt make use of them.

Yeah there are Virat.Kohli 2011 and Inzamam 92 stories but those are far and far between.

SLICKR392 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Uthappa isn't the one for the future. He might probably fair in a series and fail in the rest. Just a guess. Same goes for Pathan. Agree with Lordy, Rishi Dhawan totally deserves to be in the XI after his performance this season and Irfan, played as a specialist batsman this season. What we require is a Bowling all rounder, not a Batting all rounder. Rayudu should replace Raina, I believe he has it in him to play the big shots and do well during a collapse.

Someone who gets going right away, can rotate the strike, and is capable of big hits in the slog overs. Does anyone believe Dhoni and Fletcher can win India the world cup with present squad? Imagine these two guys going into the world cup after massive thrashings in England and Australia. Changes should be made now. Still plenty of time to get the team ready for next world cup.
