vayuu1 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 So folks, yesterday I took my daughter for vaccination to a nearby hospital, trust me when ur little one's cry it hurts a lot, anyway while entering doctor's chamber,I saw a bunch of people standing near labour room, maybe they were anxiously waiting for the good news, anyway during check up of my daughter suddenly a nurse came and asked doctor to come immediately as if they were in a rush and the doctor asking us to wait for 30 minutes went straight away, after 20-25 minutes we (me and my wife) heard a scream and out of curiosity went to check whats going on ,there we saw the same bunch looking very dejected especially the ladies;they were literally crying and cursing, the doctor was trying to calm things down,I was wondering has anything bad happened ,meanwhile the doctor came back and we were done in 10 minutes, while leaving I asked doctor what happened there;is anything wrong, was there any problem ,he replied "I have seen such things in movie and tv but have never seen such things in life, that lady was so pissed off because her bahu gave birth to daughter, she wanted a baby boy and that is why she was cursing her daughter in law",I was so angry that I wanted to punch that bytch right there, but went away quickly and then we wonder why our society is so messed up,even women don't want to have women in their family,so why expect men to be opposite, why don't these people understand that : Bahut "chanchal" bahut "Khushnuma" si hoti hai "BETIYA". "Nazuk" sa "dil" rakhti hai "Masoom" si hoti hai "BETIYA". "Baat" baat par roti hai "Nadan" si hoti hai "BETIYA". "Rehmat" se "bharpoor" "Khuda" ki "Nemat" hai "BETIYA". EnterTheVoid Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Can't doctors tell the sex of the baby from ultra sound scans? Useless drama from the mother in law, me thinks.
Sidhoni Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Can't doctors tell the sex of the baby from ultra sound scans? Useless drama from the mother in law, me thinks. That's illegal.
ganeshran Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 ^+1 Telling parents the gender of the child from scans is illegal in India. though doctors sometimes give subtle hints
Texy Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 This is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard.
CSK Fan Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Can't doctors tell the sex of the baby from ultra sound scans? Useless drama from the mother in law, me thinks. No, it is illegal in India
beetle Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Can't doctors tell the sex of the baby from ultra sound scans? Useless drama from the mother in law, me thinks. You think that ***** will let the poor girl live to see the light of day. THere are millions of missing girls that were found out before they were born. As a nation ,we are the scum of the earth .Even below the terrorist factories.
Rebel Agent Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 This is quite sad really, India has a massive problem with skewed sex ratios and even now in the 21st century this still continues, this is one of the worst things I have read and is disgraceful.
Stuge Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 just think about that girl ,what kind of life she is going to lead ...fecked up .
Detonator Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Can't doctors tell the sex of the baby from ultra sound scans? Useless drama from the mother in law, me thinks. Illegal, but I have seen some easy ways to perform sonogram scans in B'lore. Heard it's possible in every city.
Rebel Agent Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The problem is that this is also happening here in Australia, people from the subcontinent coming here and asking doctors to tell them the sex of the child so they can abort it. The Aussie Government is considering bringing in laws to stop this.
vayuu1 Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Honestly what's the use of so many jag rata ' s, chowki's,navratri puja, when u don't care and respect the little goddess of ur home and continously discourage her. sent from dil se
ganeshran Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The ideal sex ratio is around 1020 females to a 1000 males. Except In Kerala, I doubt any state reaches this number. TN and Andhra are close to a 1000 Haryana has a sex ratio in the middle 800s, hundreds of girls are being aborted after parents determine the gender of the child illegally.
urbestfriend Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 only positive thing about this is Doctor saying he hasn't seen it before in real life, so these people are minorities. But disgusting nevertheless.
kubrickian Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Female infanticide is a big problem in North India and Pakistan. South India has much better sex ratio.
Ram Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The most screwed up part about the whole thing is that it is typically mother-in-laws (who themselves are female), who create the biggest furore when baby girls are born.
hhunaeh Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Mom-in-law has slogged her way to the top of the family hierarchy and is now pissed at noob dils who want a share in the power and at granddaughters who will at some point in the future move assets away from the business ??
Texy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 It's 2014 and we still have dowry related deaths and women being tortured for giving birth to a girl. It must take backwardness, uncouth behavior of megalithic proportion to commit these crimes. >> CNN article <<
