Was a match winner and crucial in getting us to number 1. One of our greatest seamers! Thats the good news But the facts are that now zak is finished. He is an oap and father time has ticked one too many times. Opening the bowling in 120s. He simply is finished. Does not have the physicality for international cricket now. The days in feld, the long spells. He just cant do it anymore. I agreed bringining him back. Felt worth a gamble, lets see if can do it. But by end of 1st test and defo by end of 2nd test in SA. It was crystal clear to all he was finished. But then suddenly is on NZ tour, then playes 1st test. 1st test in NZ confirmed once again he is too old now. Surely cant play next test. So clear need to move on here. Would some up how sad and pathetic things are if plays last test. PLEASE NO MOR ZAK!

I won't play him as first choice but we can not refuse him for a tour like England where we play 5 test. Keep him in the squad just in case.

DESPERATELY NEED A NEW BOWLING COACH, zak is contemporary and will know what needs to be done. India banks on household names, that's why. If zak is the sachin of bowling.. then you can expect him to play a few more. I have utmost respect but its embarrasing to see him run in a 120kph opening spell. Pak have 140kph bowlers running in. As do Aussies. As do NZ and that has made the difference.

We will lose more badly? So what, will the scoreline change? We are already 10-0 in the last 11 overseas match. If we do not take this opportunity to build for the future and give these new bowlers much needed international exposure, then when do we do that? At least we can rebuild for the future just like we placed our trust in the young bats and replaced senior batsmen Sorry, we just cannot cry and whine forever about not having good fast bowlers and then keep on trying the same guys again and again. When we lose, blame the bowling. Rinse repeat.
veer Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Not easy to drop him . Ppl are too Naive to understand that.. He is a senior bowler.. Our society, boards, cricket don't work like western countries. We give long ropes to senior players.. Just like we did to SRT, Dravid, VVS etc.. Unless zak quits we will pick him even in England tours.
