Actually Vinay Kumar is not too bad on indian tracks. Against England during ODIs in 2011- he regularly got wickets. Also ODIs is a different ball game to first class test cricket. Vinay only played one game in tests

People ask for fast-bowler friendly tracks and when that's what's provided and trundlers take wickets, you complain. Be careful what you wish for.

This is not the kind of track you would like though it is not bad but we need more pacy and bouncy tracks rather than grass lawns like this because you do not get grass lawns in international level but bouncy and pacy surfaces and such tracks can make anyone look like world beater with so much help on first morning and encourage wrong type of bowlers and do not help batsmen too.

Yes, in IPL and international cricket, it has been flat, not in domestic because they leave a lot of grass moisture on it most of the times in recent times.

Pitch got easier to bat after lunch day 1. It had a lot of moisture on first morning which dried out later.

Chinnaswamy is helpful to seamers? Anyways, the issue here is this. We keep harping about how India has flat/spin wickets and how this has stifled the development of pacers here. And we layout a greenish wicket here and Vinay has bowled really well (he is bowling to the best batsmen on the domestic circuit) and now that is dismissed as an aberation on helpful wickets.

Yes, in domestic cricket. Look at the grass on this pitch too. They usually leave more grass for Ranji trophy matches with moisture so it helps seamers and cut the grass, toll it hard, and leave it a bit dry and it becomes batting paradise for international and IPL matches.
