You are comparing leagues and clubs that has been around for decades. IPL is a mere 7 year old in a sport which did not have high level club team up until the 2008. If you really want to compare between different sports and cricket, then look at market value of the Indian international team. Its probably more than 3 billion $.

These leagues like say the premier league is played for about nearly 35 weeks of the year of 52 weeks.

I just did a crude calculations based on tv rights deal of both the IPL and indian home tv rights are pretty much the same. But based on revenue of the Indian cricket team (without the IPL), its probably around 1.5 billion $. But considering that India is growing and is leaving half the money on the table by touring half the time, its brand value could be closer to 3 billion $.

True, make sense to compare national teams to these clubs its just unfair to cricket if clubs are compared to these football and nfl, nba clubs. An other point to note is, cricket boards are quasi govt and are monopolies but they had access to only the national pool of talent for instance if Ind team had access to pak fast bowlers or Eng or Aus had access to Indian spinners..they would be even bigger teams that they are now..so its even stevens.
