Mostly agreed. If three pace then Pandey. Otherwise this is good.

Same as my team. This is the best possible XI we have. Having said all that...we will still not win against a full strength Pak team.

Seriously doubt if India will drop Rohit. I am expecting this 1. Rohit 2. Dhawan 3. Kohli 4. Rahane 5. Raydu 6. Karthik 7. Jadeja 8. Ashwin 9. Kumar 10. Shami 11. Pandey

Drop Rayadu and bring in Pujara... You guys do not need fast scorers against Pakistan, instead you need someone who can rotate strike and not give away his wicket cheaply. Kohli is the best batsman now but law of statistics suggest that he can fail once in 5 matches. So good to have another solid batsmen on the lineup.

Rohit is the best player against Ajmal.....I do understand the frustration he has been generating but the way(from the scorecard) DK,Rayudu etc played against Mendis,I dont see the inexperienced middle order picking him. As much as Hafeez the batsman is a joke,I think his bowling is vastly underrated,This is where I think Rohit will do well.

I will have the same team except replace Pandey with mishra. From watching some of these games it is clear its difficult to get going against the slower bowlers, and having a leggie is an attacking option. I am not sure what Pandey's strengths are. Haven't seen him bowl, But I don't want him to be pushed into a debut in must win game against Pakistan (added pressure), see him fail an dropped into oblivion. Either give him a chance again AFG or wait until our tour of Eng. I am tempted to Drop Rohit, but our lack of fire power in the middle order means he has to get one more go not as a opener though.

I've seen Kohli playing Ajmal the best.. Btw.. your point is valid and that's more reason for Rohit to come down the order. He is playing it very safe and slow at the moment..

Would it be fair to ask Pujara to make his ODI debut in these circumstances, can we expect him to do more than Rohit would. If he did open I think Rohit should bat at 5 instead of Rayudu. Right now the middle order is hopeless.

kohli had the balls to drop Varun after terrible performances,why is he waiting to dump Rohit? this guy will never amount to anything,he will have a a few good games here and there but he is a terrible opener(one of the worst i have seen).
