Aggy of even today and of this age - can bowl better than many current Indian 'odi bowlers'. Despite that - Aggy is only an average odi bowler. (becos of one "four ball" every over). But that says volumes of how poor rest of Indian odi bowlers are.

The time Aggy bowled and now ODIs have changed a lot, mainly because of T20s. Batting has evolved a lot in LOIs. Sir Aggy wouldn't have last long if he was bowling today.

Shami in the hands of the right captain and management could be a world beater, he bowls between 139 to 145 k regularly, moves the ball and is skiddy, needs to be rested a bit and seems jaded.

Been expensive lately but he's a genuine wicket taker. His workload should be reduced to keep him ready for critical matches.

It is not just that the way Dhoni captains his pacers is pathetic, one or two over spells , even if they are bowling well and then replace with part times, give away momentum and bring them back if they get hit for one four take em off n not allow to bowl full quota. India is in a hole because of Dhoni, captaincy, stubbornness, selections of playing 11 and selectors who are jokers more the previous selection panel and Srikant being the main culprit.
