ThePhenomenal1 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 our problem is that we are not aggressive.. some stupid mindset has crept in with out of form players or crap players like yuvraj and rohit, playing slow. Even kohli adapts his game, so why cant the ipl superstar rohit? why isnt raina at 3/4? we have big hitters but when its time to perform they DONT! Rohit needs to be kicked out, his 50 was selfish.

We were in a comfortable position against the windies, so the team thought it would be a good time to get Yuvi a hit and it backfired. I am hoping we won't make the same mistake again. But with this team management we never know... :nervous:

I don't see him troubling the Aussies much, though Badri and Narine will be a handful.

Don't know about the spinners,Narine might trouble them.. but likes of Bravo,Sammy,Russel and Santokie will be mouth watering to the Aussie hitters

To top G2, Ind needs a good NRR or win all its games The last group game is b/w Pak and WI, which is likely to be like a QF if WI is able to beat Aus. A possibility of a 3 way tie - Aus (beats WI, BD and Ind), Pak/WI and Ind (beats BD) exists. Ind last game is against Aus so equation will be clear by then However, it is never a good idea to leave the game till the last over. Always chase as if you have one over less. In both these games, Ind did not have reasons to go beyond 17-18 overs.

Hopefully we win the toss and bat second, so that our batsmen will have a target and show some hurry. If we bat first I see Nohit laying his usual tuk tuk. Dhawan and Yuvi is out of form and so we nee an incentive to play some aggressive cricket. We need to chase or its going to be difficult.

One big loss against Aus and we are out. You never know when you lose badly in this format; it just needs a couple of overs. Adding to the fact that the batsmen are not really in great form.
