NareshK Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Just watched the highlights and I have to say, what a knock Gambhir played under pressure. Everyone remembers Dhoni's innings and that was a brilliant innings too but Gambhir deserves as much credit. Sad that he is no longer in the team. He has a great record in ODIs too. Average around 40 and strike rate close to 86 and 5000+ runs. I dont understand how he just got worse after that World Cup.

G_B_ Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 whats good to know is in the ODI format India followed up that win with lifting the champions trophy in 2013. That sort of consistency at major tournaments is good to know. You look at our win in 2007 in the t20 format and then a failure to reach the semis in 2009,2010, 2012 and that just shows that we lacked the consistency in that format.
