JourneyMan Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 -Raina is still a valuable LOI player (allrounder on SC pitches) and should have a fixed place in T20 and ODI XIs. -Kohli is our best LOI batsman, batting first or second (we already knew this), not only in ODIs but also in T20s (was in doubt, has now been confirmed). -Ashwin is still our best spinner on SC pitches -Mishra is a decent spinner in LOIs, but still vulnerable -Jaddu doesn't get the same bowling success in LOIs as he does in test cricket -Rahane isn't a big match player (gets nervous very quickly) -B Kumar is probably our most economical LOI opening bowler -Yuvraj is past it Still in doubt: -R Sharma: will he come good or is this the best he can do? I still hope he can come good -S Dhawan: same as above -MSD: has he got more batting left in him?
Soorma_Bhopali Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Gautam Gambhir should be brought back after his good form. yuvraj's spot should go to Rohit/Rahane based on whosoeve has better form . gambhir and dhawan/gambler and Rahane should be the opening partnership.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Only one learning - its friggin tamasha kirkut. Get over it.
vijay50 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Only one learning - its friggin tamasha kirkut. Get over it. Thats what Aus has been thinking for last 7 years and they are one of the nation who did not win the cup till now along with Bangladeshnand SA. Even England has a trophy in this format.
SLICKR392 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Only one learning - its friggin tamasha kirkut. Get over it. This! What is there to learn from T20s? :cantstop:
Gollum Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Dhoni is tactically a very bad captain even in SC conditions. He has been riding his luck all these years.
vvvslaxman Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Don't go with players with iffy form. ALso horses for the courses. On slow pitches with short boundaries on one side someone like Yusuf could have been more deadly.
vijay50 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Also Dhoni and Yuvraj would have learned that its better to exit the tourney at knockouts rather than get pelted after reaching finals.Shame though.
Zelig Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Only one learning - its friggin tamasha kirkut. Get over it. IPL stint helped Mitch Johnson sort out his career. Flintoff took time off after the 1st Ashes Test in 2005 to play in the T20 semis. Came back and won the Ashes. :beee:
Sajid_Rana Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Take out Kohli and Indian batting is on par with Pakistan.
vijay50 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Take out Kohli and Indian batting is on par with Pakistan. How did your dream go?

South_Paw Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Dhoni's luck is running out at the right time.
JourneyMan Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Take out Kohli and Indian batting is on par with Pakistan. You're understimating Pakistani batting. Take out Kohli and we're on par with Bangladesh at the moment.
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Take out Kohli and Indian batting is on par with Pakistan. 4 not out in 5 matches. Question is how to take him out?
FischerTal Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Don;t select bowlers with last name Sharma. Sandeep sharma coming up :cantstop:
Midfielder Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Dhoni is tactically a very bad captain even in SC conditions. He has been riding his luck all these years. The best post.
Midfielder Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Take out Kohli and Indian batting is on par with Pakistan. Not true.
