Mistakes made in WorldT20

Overall, Indian team has done well in this tournament winning 5 out of 6 games but despite that, there have been some glaring mistakes. 1) Rahane should not have opened the innings. We should have persisted with Shikhar Dhawan. He showed signs of coming back to form in Pak match and was given out wrongly in West Indies game. He is a good attacking player in limited overs. 2) Yuvraj Singh played a similar innings in the game against West Indies and brought the game perilously close to a defeat which we should have won comfortably. He also dropped easy catches in the outfield and misfielded a few times. That should have been a message that he should have been dropped or demoted in the batting order. But the lesson was not learned and he failed when it really mattered and cost us the tournament. 3) Jadeja is not a T20 bowler. In tests and ODIs, he can cause some problems with his accurate line and length and when the ball turns a bit but in T20, he can be slogged for big sixes because his line and length becomes predictable. He doesnt have a lot of variations to deceive the batsman. 4) Not playing Shami is another mistake. Dhoni should have stuck to mixing up his bowlers by bowling Ashwin or Raina or Mishra in first 6 overs as he did in group games, rather than giving 3+2 overs to Bhuvi and Mohit first up and allowing them to settle. Ashwin's overs had to be held back as he needed to bowl at the death in the absence of Shami and that meant he couldnt attack in the middle overs. Its these little strategic mistakes which have proved costly in the final.

In Odis The Batmen Dont Attack him as Much, So he Ussually Builds Up Pressure And Pick Up Wickets That Way. In Odis At Home The Opposition teams Ussually Just try And Play Him out And attack the Other Bowlers

Number 3 is the biggest one. We just don't learn. How can we can forget 2009 wcup where Jadeja played exactly similar innings of 25 off 35 while chasing 160. We lost by 4 runs n we had 5 wickets left. He is not a batsman n definitely not a high class bowler as well

Jadeja didnt bat at all in this WT20,why are you mentioning his batting?

Rahane is not a t20 or an odi no 4 batsman period.the best he could deliver he did in SA match and that is not good enough for opening batsmen in t20s. There was no need to drop dhawan after giving him one match rest. Yuvraj and dhobi are done as t20 players, yuvi not getting himself out by going for big shots was a killer it ruined all the momentum of innings. Why dhobi promoted himself only he should know and he screwed up whole formula in bowling and changed why india had succcess in the first place in earlier matches.

Jadeja in Odis is a Different bowler to when He bowls In T20s. it might be because he bowls at the right pace in T20 and dosent vary it much

You dislike him no matter how well he performs. But was surely a liability for us in the WT20.

arguably one of the biggest mistakes: defensive captaincy! no restricting singles, getting fielders in. whats the point of having electric fielders if they're nowhere near the ball and the bowler has to chase the ball?

Agree with some. Yuvraj out Dhawan in, rahane down. Three pace bowlers. Jadega out Shammi in. Bowling rotation slightly better. The biggest mistake was made by SL. If they were thinking any they would have dropped Yuvrajs catch and could have won the game in 14 overs.
