I do not consider IPL as an Indian domestic league rather its a carnival of cricket with all superstars playing for Indian cities. So do you think BCCI's stance on ignoring Pakistani players is justified?

I dont think Pakistani players are banned. No IPL side wants them due to potential sponsors pulling out of their team and protests outside grounds (or the threat of that, not saying it will happen)

Pakistan hardly generates any money as it is and IPL is still popular. Even if the viewership increases, its not going to make any money in the short run. If a case can be made for peace or cricket soft power, i wouldn't bet on it either. These are the same guys who were celebrating buses between India and pakistan while preparing for a surprise war,like a coward would, on the same day.

They didn't care what country he was from, what his religion was nor that he just got their national hero out. They just appreciated good cricket.

Sachin's dismissal brought the crowd to a stunned silence. But they found their voice soon when Jayasuriya thrashed Akhtar and Ishant and scored almost 90% of the target (60 odd) runs in less than 20 balls. May be you both were referring to Sehwag's dismissal at Eden Gardens where Akhtar ran amock.

Yes the pak players will feel bad. Pak players in IPL is a risk, and most sponsors will avoid it..simple risk management avoidance. It makes business sense to include them, there would be new big market of pakistan but somehow the risks appear to be outweighing the benefits for the moment, It would certainly subside in due course unless pak govt decides to do some other small war on 'hind'..or send some non state actors across or behead the odd bsf soldier or two( Respect to the Soldiers RIP)..such is the silly manners of Ind-pak cricket they think they are important and reflect their governments mood. Playing cricket together would be a tight slap on face of extremists in pak and right wing hawks in India, but would be too unpopular among the masses.

People equating these players to terrorists need their heads examined. Once that series in 2012 happened, I don't see any reason why they should be barred from IPL as long as owners are willing to spend money on them.
