It was just a gamble which didnt work. Joginder Sharma bowled the last over in World T20 and won the cup. How many captains would have given him the last over ?
Probably 80% of the captains would have done that. Every bowler other than bhajji had bowled out by then. Bhajji had bowling stats of 3 overs, 36 runs for 0 wickets while joginder had 2 for 13 from his 3 in the match. The only other person who bowled that day was yusuf pathan.

itv hosts could scarcely believe it. Their tone of disbelief was similar to the one ian bishop had a few days back when he was talking about bad umpiring after kp's run out was missed by the umpire. Not good for ipl.

No. This is just sheer kaptaan M$D's brilliance of relying on part-timers and/or trundlers. Not just in IPL, He screws up Indian matches (Intl matches) many times this way too.

There is another reason i think of is, if Dhoni wants someone to make look totally useless he uses this technique lol. May be he was under some mysterious pressure to include Dussey. Remember how he handled stuart binny lol. Deliberately made him look useless.

He just tried to be too smart and got owned.Yuvi struggled awfully against Jaddu a left arm spinner in the previous over.So Dhoni went for a offie who takes the ball away from Yuvi. Bowling Mohit the last over would have just as bad vs Yuvi.Dhoni should have used Badri

I think, MSD want to prove Yuvi still has it. he is more than capable for lifting character games for him or others. Considering he gave ample opportunity to Sharmas, I am so confidant that what i said.

they are bowlers, Dussey replaced a batsman. Problem was he could have used Pnadey aur Mohit in middle overs. Pandey didn't bowl a single over.
