Scarves Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Title is self-explanatory For me in no order. 1 - VVS Laxman - God damn I couldn't hate him when he played against Australia. His knock of 281 was bloody awesome and then he was a beast at the SCG 2 - Rahul Dravid - Same as above really 3 - Anil Kumble - The guy that you have to respect for his work ethic. 4 - Kumar Sangakkara - A joy to watch 5 - Lasith Malinga - One of the most intelligent bowlers 6 - Vernon Philander 7 - Michael Vaughan - Loved watching him bat. 8 - Shane Bond - Pure destruction 9 - Curtley Ambrose - The guy could kill you.
undisputed chap Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 @OP how can you forget ABDV easily the best batsman atm. That guy is simply mindblowing. Also like Lyon a lot he was exceptional against eng.

I don't really like watching him against Australia. I mean him and Amla are top tier batsmen but not really fun to watch for me.

bulbul Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I am! Actually I wanted to ask them same question to OP coz his list includes Indians in the top 3 position hence I named Sachin first. OP is from OZ i guess.
vamos_rafa Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 OP is from OZ i guess. Aah ok. Anyways, Sachin had to be there for me :icflove:
Scarves Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 To clarify on Sachin, I just didn't really like watching him. I know he was the best of that era but he wasn't as fun compared to a Laxman or a Dravid in the same team. That's just my opinion.

For me every Sachin inning was a myriad of emotions ,specially when I was a kid. Till the time he was playing and missing I would be really nervous. Once he was set then it just made my day.
