Tiger80 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 The main problem is there is big criminal culture in UP Bihar .Unless you break that culture you will see these type of cases coming again and again.. Today I was talking to my Bihari contractor and he jokingly told me that in his village if some one commit a theft then their village strong man tell " just go wash my utensils , press my feet you ruined our village name . If you want to commit crime then commit murder , that bring glory
Raghav_12 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 It is extremely shocking. Media was slow to pick up this but eventually it did pick so matter is getting highlighted and action would be there. Hope there would be swift trial and justice. This "dabang" culture of UP/Bihar must change.
JaiRamesh2 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Several of the rape accused arrested are local policemen, and all Yadavs. " boys will be boys, they make mistakes" - Mulayam Singh Yadav on rape.
beetle Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Asked about UP rapes, CM Akhilesh Yadav says, 'But you're safe' KANPUR: Questioned by reporters over the inexcusable rise in violence against women in Uttar Pradesh, an edgy Akhilesh Yadav on Friday shot back at the journalists, "Aapko toh khatra nahin hua? (it's not as if you faced any danger?)" The chief minister's insensitive counter-question left most mediapersons stunned. Akhilesh was in Kanpur on personal work when city reporters buttonholed him over the alarming rise in rape cases in the state, apart from an abysmal slide in the rule of law. There have been four rapes in the last two days in UP, beginning with the sexual assault and murder of two dalit teenagers in Badaun, followed by rape of another dalit teenage girl in Azamgarh. On Friday, a fourth girl was raped in Sharawasti. Last month, Akhilesh's father and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had commented on the issue of rape, "Boys will be boys, why hang rapists?" Addressing a rally in Moradabad in April, Mulayam had said, "Ladkiyan pehle dosti karti hain. Ladke-ladki mein matbhed ho jata hai. Matbhed hone key baad usey rape ka naam dey deti hain. Ladko sey galti ho jati hai. Kya rape case mein phansi di jayegi? (First, girls and boys become friends. Then, when differences occur between them, the girls accuse boys of rape. Boys may make mistakes, but should they be hanged for it?)" While Akhilesh announced Rs 10 lakh compensation to the raped teenagers, former UP chief minister and BSP leader Mayawati demanded a CBI probe and resignation of Akhilesh as CM. Speaking to reporters, Mayawati said she has been asking governor BL Joshi to impose President's rule in the state. "But our demands haven't been met," she said. The BSP chief threatened to take strict steps in the coming months if the situation does not improve. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Asked-about-UP-rapes-CM-Akhilesh-Yadav-says-But-youre-safe/articleshow/35800676.cms
AmreekanDesi Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 'Boys will be boys. Why venture out in these areas at these times. Seems like she was asking for it - A clerk at my dad's firm about rape victims in Delhi when the issue was getting a lot of intl press coverage. Problem can't be solved till the mindset changes. And for some reason education doesn't seem to be solving it.

rkt.india Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Most of the criminals were put behind bars in gunda act during Maya tenure. Since SP came into power, they all are out and can do anything. Crime is at its peak in UP especially in villages and this was one of the biggest reason people voted against SP in general elections.
JourneyMan Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 This is getting out of control. Nothing short of the death penalty is going to solve this. Either that or villages will have to lynch the culprits themselves.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Firstpost @firstpostin Media only reports (rape) in Uttar Pradesh. If you just google, you will see that rapes happen all over the world: Akhilesh Yadav When he came to power in 2012 most people (including me) thought that Akhilesh Yadav would be a welcome change from his father. Sadly we were all mistaken.

randomGuy Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Yep, it must be India because rapes don't happen in rss/bjp's bharat.
SLICKR392 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Yep' date=' it must be India because rapes don't happen in rss/bjp's bharat.[/quote'] Great cheap comeback.

adi B Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 The day up voted back sp into power in 2012,there was a general feeling that gundaraj would return.the state is in pathetic condition under this akhilesh govn..bjp will have to bring this govn down else more such miseries will happen till 2017
asterix Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Yep' date=' it must be India because rapes don't happen in rss/bjp's bharat.[/quote'] Look who's back... :hehe: Still appears to be butthurt..
Khalpat Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Yep' date=' it must be India because rapes don't happen in rss/bjp's bharat.[/quote'] No words for the victim, no words for the accused, no words for the ruling state government but only problem is with a certain party. No surprise that your party's 95% contestant lost their deposits.

Khalpat Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Ok here is a piece of advice. Your first post should have been criticism of state government. Then symphatic towards victim then proposed solution then root cause. After this if someone would have brought up bjp in thread then reply to them with what u said. AAP supporter do not want to be termed as Modi phobic. Please don't do it.

AAP supporter do not want to be termed as Modi phobic. Please don't do it. Thanks for the advice, guess thats not a bad advice. But please do not expect me to follow the pattern that you mentioned in the bolded part. Desi Cartman's post also talks about Bharatiya culture of suppression of women and of male-domination, and RSS chief eulogizes that culture and says such culture prevents rapes. Everytime someone is critical of someone from bjp/rss, bjp supporters need not take it personally. Criticize AAP as much as you want, I'll covert to a bjp supporter if I am convinced that bjp is better than AAP. BJP-supporters should also not be rigid...
