Imo once KXIP stArted experimenting once they secured their spot...they screwed up. Sandeep was a casualty of that. KKR didn't do any experiment (expect checking out cummins and vinay). Heck even CSK paid the price for too much. Wonder what should teams do next season. Make sure whole squad gets game or stick to the team that will win the cup Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
Sandeep was casualty of no swing. He is good till he is getting swing. Whenever, there was no swing, he got hit which was the reason he got dropped in first place, not because they experimented.

Am I the only one who thinks Bailey gets too much flak? It is not easy keeping a team of big hitters together and Bailey has done great' date=' mixing Indian local talent with internationals. He intentionally kept himself away from the limelight and those who think he is a dead-weight, he didn't get enough opportunity. Today, it was a brave decision to come ahead, although it didn't work[/quote'] agree with you .. but the same rule wont apply to Dhoni :agree:

people still defending Bailey?this guy has been pure crap. we need an Indian who can be captaincy material next season. Can't have a foreigner hogging the spot, especially crap like Bailey.

He wasn't that bad and the team doesn't need dramatic changes. The decision to change a winning formula was unusual. Maybe he thought bringing Balaji against his former team-mates was a smart move, but you don't remove in-form match-winners from your side. That decision cost him. Johnson is a test bowler, his selection of deliveries in T20 cricket baffles me at times. To be honest, if he stuck with the yorker on that last delivery, that alone could have changed the result. Anyway, I wouldn't remove him because whoever you replace him with will also get hit around the ground, but Bailey needs to be more proactive in the death overs and instruct his bowlers (whether Johnson will actually accept being directed by someone who doesn't even bowl is another question) Awana and Balaji both needed direction when they bowled. They were bowling full deliveries when they should have been bowling yorkers. The team doesn't need huge changes. Sandeep needs to start, apart from that the line up is looking very good, especially with Vohra and Saha coming good towards the end of the season. Punjab were scoring massive totals even without Maxwell's contribution. With a consistent bowling line-up and strategy, they are strong contenders for the next IPL.

They need just a good seamer who can get them early wickets. Bangar & co should keep an eye on BBL & CPL. There's no need for drastic changes. Maybe have a backup for maxy (hales) & sehwag for next year.

Saha doesn't enjoy captaincy and avoids it. That's the reason Laxmi Shukla captains Bengal currently, though Saha has won a Duleep Trophy as captain.

Viru is the only guy who can captain Punjab, if you want an Indian captain.

Saha will accept IPL captaincy :agree: FC is different :beee:
Pointless exercise. Leaders are born, one has to enjoy captaincy. Saha is too low-profile and unassuming to captain an IPL side. He is a good team player, and that's the best way he can add value.
