maniac Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I used to like Srilanka in the early 90's when they were Ireland/Zimbabwe level,then 96 happened and I was still happy with their momentous rise in world cricket....cheered for them in the 95 triseries with Aus and WI,in that infamous Murali series......Then succes got to their head.....Aravinda,Murali are nice blokes but they always have the Sangakkaras and Ranatungas who are absolute India haters to the core but still come begging here

Its not just India, normally Srilanka and Bangladesh fans fight with all other fans... both because their teams are not being recognized as worldbeaters. in SRL case, its is understandable. There seem to be an extremely high number of Indians who seem to love the Lankan team as well..some of them suprisingly seem to love SL over India. :hatsoff: The idea behind this thread was for these fans to discuss SL FC cricket, going-ons in the SLC and general gossip about the Lankan cricketers etc, and most of all to appreciate the exciting brand of cricket Lankans play. :two_thumbs_up: Mods, can you sticky this thread please? Rather than India I think Pakistan has quite a few SL fans. Check out their forum.

FischerTal Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 England to win 1-0 i think you are underestimating cloudy in his home conditions. i wouldn't be surprised if he runs through the sri lankan lineup, with the exception of thirimanne and the new kid silva. i don't expect sanga and mahela to do well. karuratne is an absolute joke. a lot will depend on thirimanne and mathews if the two oldies fail.
