I heard south france is good if you have time. But you should try the pastries though. Versailles may be? Be careful in the local trains pick pocketers as per my colleague.

DONT pay money to go up Notre Dame for what they claim to be the "view" you cant see jack **** and its a scam. Versilles is a day in itself. But its worth it. If you have spare time do try to visit the statue of liberty. The original one and not the one in New york city. Its not a well known fact that there are two statures of liberties in the world.

its much smaller. Located on the banks of river seine Many people forget that the French had a major hand in helping the 13 colonies get their independence. The Americans like reminding the French of how they saved their asses in WW2. But conveniently forget is was the French fleet which kept the British fleet occupied in the Atlantic. A fact lost in the annals of American history. Without the French america would never have existed in its current form. But rather become smaller countries like South America with Spanish speaking west and a French middle along to the missisipi. Anyways the stature was a gift from the French to the USA. The original stayed in the france and the bigger one was in New York. It was given due to the fact that unlike the the British with the monarchy both France and USA were republics. 3619249338_6ed0f3e4cf.jpghttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fr%C3%A9d%C3%A9ric_Auguste_Bartholdi

and btw the legend has it that the ones who see both the liberty statures will be blessed with luck. How true it is, or just a means to make money i dont know.

Museum of Modern Art - Musée d'Art Moderne Louvre Arc de triomphe - gives very good views of paris and Eiffel tower Champs-Élysées Take a walk across the Seine around the old paris (Latin Quarter) area. Seine river cruises are pretty good in the evening.. Around 100 E every night for hotel in a decent hotel. Commute is economical if you buy the all-day pass for the metro, all areas are covered with that. - 30-40 E per day - it can be combined with 2 or 3 museum entries as well. 50 E for food every day.

Over-hyped and expensive place ( as in very low value for money compared to the rest of Western Europe). The only places I liked were the clubs, Versailles palace and the Louvre. The last 2 can take 2 days each to see properly. Do your utmost to avoid that lovers bridge where you are supposed to attach the pad locks to the structure of the bridge and throw the key in the siene. That place was teaming with tourist scamsters, pick pockets and zillions of Japanese tourists. The Siene cruise is strictly ok.
