These are some of the memorable innings played by Indian batsmen in England 1. Kapil Dev 89 off 55. Dev tonking Willis and Botham when India was trying to avoid follow on.

2. SRT 92 off 113 at Trent Bridge I remember watching it live, India was trailing by 250 runs in the 3rd innings, lost Sehwag and Jaffer early and the series was on the line. SRT came and played a great counter attacking knock, it seemed like anything he touched with the bat was going to the boundary. His first 50 runs were more than run a ball in those tough conditions, shows his class.

3. Rahul Dravid Headingley 148 Need to get full ball by ball of this innings. Ganguly chose to bat first to give Kumble and Bhajji a chance in the fourth innings, even though conditions were supposed to be tough to bat in the morning. RD was really solid in defense and his leaves were meticulous. Overall a perfect innings showing how to play against swing. Also India won a test match after a long time in England.

4. Ganguly 124 at Lords. Dream debut and also shows how confidence plays a big part in a player's career, Ganguly avged 35 in FC when he was selected and then he became one of the best batsmen in the country in his time. A life changing innings.

5. SRT 193 Headingley

in the same match in which Dravid scored 148. It was great to watch once whole hard-work done by Dravid laid a great platform and enabled SRT-Ganguly to launch the attack. They went into their one-day mode, last 100 runs of their partnership came in just 11 overs. Others : 17 year old Sachin's first test century where he earned India a fighting draw. RD's innings in 2011 tours. I am sure some of the Vengsarkar and Gavaskar innings also belong to this. Please add.

Then we didn't tour them for 6 years after that,so have much cleaner Memory of 1996 series.....SRT 6's to bring up his 100 against Patel(I beleive),Dada's debut 100...SIr Aggy's 100,Anil Kumble's 100 ,MSD's 70 odd probably his only relevant test innings

that 183 inning by dada is epic .. to our surprise dravid was playing like sehwag ( guess scored 50 in 40 balls and 100 in 90 odd balls ) .. but when dada started lifting the balls , it was carnage .. sixes were huge , so huge .. treated lungans like garbage :two_thumbs_up:

Searched for it. Nowhere to be found. I saw it live. Spectacular on drives that i had not seen before. Better than Azharuddin's on drives. Chappel, Ricahrds etc

Already s thread on this. Dravid's 148 in leeds was a great knock under those conditions. Didn't see sunil's 220 odd knock,must be at the top.dravid's 124 at TB in 2011 was also a good.one especially with wkts falling around him and he withered the new ball under testing conditions.

Dravid has made 5 centuries there. If i have to pick one good innings i would love to watch from Dravid in England that would be his 84. It was sheer poetry.

We also forget two important and fine knocks in tough situations 1 viru's 100 which was a mixture of carefree and careful attitude. 2 ganguly's 99 in the same test which helped India draw the match,some of the boundaries he hit were divine.
