Our LOI side has suffered due to lack of vision and not taking the longer route and much emphasis being put to test cricket and mostly Indian selectors reluctantly give opportunities to newcomers unless they have a mad domestic record.Tyagi for example would have debuted for any other SC sides by now ,but in India there is no chance of him getting debut anytime soon,we unfortunately follow the pecking order and experience too much

Sooner or later they will learn it wastes considerable amount of time

Actually I think the Indian bowling was at its peak  around  2018/19 now there is a slight decline both in pace and quality

But pace comes as natural gift

We have Siraj now,he is too good

Tyagi,is in line,

Siraj is good, Tyagi looks promising but Avesh looks very bulky for a fast bowler.

The ODI squad shows that Team India have started trying the next in line quick pacers ... Siraj, Prasidh and Avesh.

 

Prasidh is the bounciest pacer in India now and quite tall.

 

Both Siraj and Prasidh vary between Fast and Fast medium, depending on their rhythm and workload. And Siraj is skiddy and seams the ball consistently.

 

Avesh bowls a heavy ball and is Fast-medium. Good height too.

 

In test matches, the next in line quicks are Saini and Prasidh. Siraj is already established.

 

After that are the developing quicks ... Umran, Tyagi, Hangargekar.  And Mavi and Nagarkoti if they get back their pace. Umran is express and Tyagi is very hostile and pacy.

 

Yash Dayal and Khaleel are 2 tall, bouncy left arm Fast-medium pacers. Sushant Mishra is a quick left armer too. 

 

So, lots of talent are there. How the selectors and TM manage to bring forth the next gen quicks would define how goid India's pace attack would be in the next 5 years.

That is reality mate. Think about it for a second. IpL pays you more money. Obviously your loyalty would be towards IPL. There is a reason players skipped some tour games just for IPL. International cricket had to be rescheduled to accommodate IPL Lel.

akash singh was another who was erratic, but showed a lot of promise in U19. Mavi is certainly getting better based on VHT, although I don't know if he will maintain this form.

Hangargekar beating Indian batsmen for pace as well. Speed guns definitely looks to be showing lower speeds.

It all depends how fit(read  major injury)one remains for the early part of their career

Nagarkoti created fear in under 19 world cup and after that he has remain injured. i am not sure if he will play for INDIA. Mavi is good but definitely not as good a bumrah,siraj ,prasidh and avesh khan today so definitely not capable enough to play for India at the moment.

 

BOOM,shammi,prasidh,avesh,siraj are our fast bowlers

shardul, deepak, harshal Patel and hardik( if fit to bowl) are our medium pace all rounders.

RISHI, Venkatesh are trulding pace all rounders.

 

if Mavi becomes an All rounder , he can get into Medium Pace AR list at some stage. i do not think he can get into indian 11 as our first 3 pacers.

Naseem can barely crank it to 140kph anymore, during the eng test series and later NZ he was literally bowling at medium pace, in his recent five wicket haul in the psl all his wickets were of deliveries under 140kph, Karthik tyagi, saini, umran, prasidh are all faster than naseem.

Pace isn't everything. I prefer intimidating bowlers who can hurt batsmen and inflict pain. Way more exciting. Fast medium with ability to bounce batsmen and hurt hurt with yorkers etc is the way to go. We had that with booms shami ishant (past) siraj etc. 

Now the new gen which involves boom siraj avesh prasidh tyagi etc need to carry on.

 Rauf  was fastest bowler in local domesticic competition clocking 95mph just prior to t20 worldcup and Naseem was second fastest in thst competition in this PSL his fastest ball till now 148.7

The main issue is ... whether he is able to hurry batsmen consistently and bowl hostile short balls from time to time. If yes, I will consider Naseem Fast even if he is bowling a high percentage of balls below 140 kph.

 

Since COVID started, I am seeing too much inconsistency in speed gun readings all over the world. 

 

So It's better to bank on the hurrying ability and hostility these days.

What absolute nonsense. 

He clocked 151 kph  in the national cup. 149 in the first PSl game. He is well and truly back pace wise.  According to cricviz database he is amongst the 5 fastest bowlers in the test cricket even including that tour to nz where he was injured. He will be amongsr the top 3 when he plays test cricket next. Absolutely no comparison with the bowlers listed, not even archer can bowl as consistently at 140 kph plus altho he might hit higher peak speed due to a more mature physique.
