That midway is the issue because he is now stretching diagonally which is a long distance ,so cant quite make it with his style. If he were more front on or even side on like wasim it would be a smaller stretch and he would be more balanced .

It's a problem because he runs in with big angle. Needs to run in a straight line. And the most important is collapse of the backfoot after BFC. If there is no collapse, everything will improve.

His jump isn't transferring his momentum into the action

He also runs in very fast. You need coordination between upper and lower body. Lower body can move faster than upper body. Slight lack of coordination between the two will lead to disruption in action chain. He will need close monitoring to find exact cause and improvement based on that.

Has this bowler from K'taka been discussed yet? Any intel on his bowling style and speeds?

https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/vidhwath-kaverappa-1155262

Cracking start to his career.

Seen Kaverappa bowl in FCC.

Tall guy, open chested action and gets good bounce.

Shami displayed more firepower and wicket taking ability in his solitary over than all our T20 specialists taken together.

Quick and accurate yorkers one after the other.

Accurate, lethal and with speed.

Its what Bumrah would have bowled if fit.

Shami can save us with this bowling duplicated in the future.

Sad thing is that they never visualized Bumrah and Shami together in the 11 with Siraj as backup.

If that were the case then we could have had a pace attack of Shami, Siraj, Hardik and just 1 trundler now.

I would prefer using the pitch ,but if it's not working then go for yorkers.Yorkers are always like this, when it comes off it's perfect otherwise it's garbage.

Even low full tosses won't be garbage if bowled above 88 mph.

The objective should be to err on the fuller side rather than bowling half volleys.

What kind of sutiyagiri is this. Shami returning after 4 months and is told to bowl the last over without any over upfront and very little time on the field.

What if he picks up a niggle !!!!

The madness that is Indian Cricket.

Any fitness coach will say he should have been out on the field for a while before bowling.

He still may have an injury, time will tell how he cools down from bowling that last over.
