Much like domestic spinners in India are better/more accurate than even 2nd best spinner Aus has.

Australian pitches and kookaburra made for extremely flat conditions even as recently as 5 years ago. Their bowlers were still the most accurate.

Kookaburra traditionally swings for initial 20-30 overs. After that it's lacquer goes off and it stops moving that much. If you're not accurate then it will be a buffet for the batters. But Auzzie pitches are ones where you need to hit the deck to generate life out of it. Hence the pacers are better used to bowling bouncy deliveries. Our bowlers are short and traditionally used to pitch the bowl up (specially Akash & Siraj). express bowling, tapandrun and bouncers 3

No point in sacrificing pace for accuracy, then you too dependent on the pitch. Mohammed Abbas struggled a lot in the second test because he didn't have the pace eventough he was accurate. A lot also depends on the fitness and playing practice or domestic matches with that mindset. Akash deep surprisingly opted the second route of sacrificing extra pace.

Nope,Aus is a place where you have to bounce and edge out batsmen from same length which is quite difficult for bowlers (you can't be short in Aus as well to bounce batsmen)which doesn't come natural to bowlers It is said to be hard physically to bowlers because of its hardness and the impact of bowlers foot on the hard surfaces does to the bowlers

Australian bowlers who are tall can generate the bounce off even from 5-5.5 meters. Our bowlers who are short have to pitch the ball at 6-6.5 m to generate same amount of bounce, allowing bowl to deviate more and miss the edge. Akashdeep suffered a lot due to this, despite looking so good. The moment they pitch in 5-5.5 m area it becomes a delivery which neither will bounce nor will hit the wickets and batters pounced on to it.

During load the bowling hand is going behind the head. Previously it wasn't that. I am not very hopeful if he will sustain the pace, can still clock 140ish but 150 is going to be tough now. tapandrun Posted January 7, 2025 Posted January 7, 2025 Tyagi didnt play much in this season, not picked by any1 in IPL so it would need a lot for him to be in the reckoning. Ind is think on fast bowling may be that could give him some kind of chance but too looks v.low. Can be considered this year is also gone from him.

If he stays fit, performs in nets and in games. He can get an acceleration. It's sad to see that he was part of the team which won BGT in 2020-21, he is in every photo that you see on TV or SM (some even confuse him with Gill). Yet he hasn't moved an inch. tweaker 1

Tyagi is highly rate here, but have not shown anything in IPLs , think there was only 1 match where he bowled 4 run over and won the game. Nothing else, he is been around for some time, had u19 waves, but that didnt help him, he has been in 3/4 teams now no 1 trusted him , didnt not play 5 games/season after that 1 season. Do not think there is much left fr him, only lsg could pick him as he is from up, rest all teams who look for this kind of player have tried him -- rr, gt, srh. .... these teams picks up some domestic players with high potential and can make it to ind in future (2-3 years). You're right about his lack of impact in IPL. Why people rate him is due to his skillset. He can bowl yorkers, bouncers, can swing the bowl both ways, gets natural bounce, seam movement & has height as well. U19 WC of 2020, he was way ahead of Sushant & Akash Singh. Went to Australia as net bowler, played one practice game and even there impressed the Aussies with his pace & bounce. So many things are going for him, but his fitness is a huuuggggeeee problem. Unless he will be fit, he wont play regularly and will remain erratic. tweaker 1

That was 2021 IPL Following year Umran had a great run, being his teammate he was mostly benched Maybe played 1-2 matches that season was very quick bowling in early 150s to high 140s But was expensive ,remained injured after that terrific over, couldn't cash it(there was some buzz around him,but unfortunately got injured), Since 2021 iirc he must have played not more than 6-7 matches from SRH,GT combined His momentum was stalled due to injuries
Nikhil_cric Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 (edited) Jacob Duffy was a nobody 2 years ago. Nowhere near the elite NZ talents like Jamieson and O Rourke Now hitting and a good line and length consistently and bowling up to 143.3 kph and likely to represent NZ at the Champions Trophy. While we keep waiting for Tyagi and others to develop. Edited January 8, 2025 by Nikhil_cric

At least he is playing international cricket, executing his skills and gaining experience etc. Which of India's hyped pace products from U-19 or IPL even got a regular run in bilaterals ?
