Dont remember for RR, but for CSK I remember him clocking 148/149.

He always had pace, but his other skills were pretty limited. To add to it, CSK isnt known for supporting fast bowlers, coz Chepauk during Dhoni's prime years was a slow turner with bounce. Hence the faster bowlers deliveries will sit right through in the hitting arc...

He was also quite natua

Think its long time back , but he had pace. Skills is diff matter specially for a domestic bowler to bowl to IPL/intl level batters.

Can not really judge domestic pacers based on ipl. bowlers like siraj used to go for runs. Umesh never got consistent in ipl

Frm google search but here is the fastest ball in krla t20 league, they are using some AI tech so on intlnl speedometer it can be lower as well.

Rank Bowler Team Speed
1 Eden Apple Tom Calicut Globstars 141.43 kmph
2 KM Asif Trivandrum Royals 139.44 kmph
3 KM Asif Trivandrum Royals 138.88 kmph
4 KM Asif Trivandrum Royals 138.72 kmph
5 KM Asif Trivandrum Royals 138.50 kmph

I have found it common for bowlers to not bowl their fastest in domestic matches. So, it is a little weird to see people questioning Shami about not bowling any quicker. But I am not surprised to see these speeds for all these bowlers in domestic matches.

Bowling at 145-150 doesn't come natural to anybody, not even a Shoaib Akhtar. It is a stretch that one has to make. Makes no sense to go full throttle where the stakes are lower, atleast in terms of speeds.

Think shami is done fr intnl crkt, team has to develop new pacer when it has options, most of the bowler are 26-27 if thy wait fr 1-2 yrs more or do not have good developmental plan they will lose a lot of bowlers.

Shami is top bowler but time to develop new bowlers for atleast 5-7 yrs. He is v.skillful can play domestics if he like and IPL if he gets picked. Bhuvi is going the same

Lee was touching 150 kmph in his last bbl season, shoaib was still bowling 145+ kmph in his retirement season.

Anderson could still be eng best bowler but the tm and board decided that its time, they have good batch of new bowlers they can try to develop fr next 5-8 yrs. no need to waste them not sure if this kind bowlers will be there if Anderson play another 2 yrs.

Same case with warner , he is still v.good but board and tm is looking forward.

Yes its sometimes hard of a particular player , but boards and tm have to make these calls , else they can lose good set of players and next batch may be not ready by then.

Ind has tyagi, umran, gurnoor, pradish, arsh, mayank, sharma , etc now . they have time to develop these bowlers , if they lose time on these the next batch may not be as good.

Stating that his time is over is better than stating that he has fitness issues. Which he doesnt have. And I can bet that you give him a few international matches, and he will up his pace.

You need a good replacement, you just cant wake up one fine morning and say that your time is over.

India is not playing bowlers who are better, equal or slightly lower in quality to Shami. They are way below par!

If Shami is touching 135 in domestic, which he was, he will bowl 140's in international. And that, I totally believe in.

Was seeing England Vs SriLanka Highlights.

Sonny Baker hitting 148k on a wicket. Probably would have hit 150?

England has got 7-8 145k + bowlers.

Bumrah 4th over

142 k

141 k

Slowly getting back some pace after return from injury.

Did any of our bowlers even hit 90 mph over the last 2 matches?

Archer

Tongue

Baker ( only in white ball )

Wood ( not playing these days )

Carse and Atkinson are 140 k+.

Overton bowled 145 k+ only in the IPL. Generally 140 k+ in white ball.

Every team, apart from India, are desperate to play any 145 k+ pacer they get.

We keep Gurnoor on the bench .... drop MoS  Mayank for short fat Yash Thakur .... ignore Tyagi for India A even.

Why does India play Bumrah in T20s that too against Afghanistan? What kind of logic can explain this selection

Tongue rarely bowls over 145. Mainly they have archer and wood only as 145+ bowlers.

Bumrah has hardly played anything this year. He needs to play some games to stay in the rhythm of bowling.
