Umran has bowled a very good line and length while averaging 146 kph and crossing 153 kph.

 

Plus he has got bounce off length from time to time.

 

Saw a few inswingers and an away goer too.

Very happy to see Umran bowling a good length instead of too full.

 

He is a short bowler and hits the sweet spot of the bat if he is bowling too full without bowling a yorker. 

 

And very good lines in his first 4 overs.

Is that 153 the fastest by an Indian in Odi cricket. Ishant Aaron Yadav and Bumrah have bowled 150 + at various points but what was their fastest?

Bowled a peach right now but there was no slip. Ball held it's line and found the edge.

Bumrah bowled 153.3 in tests in Australia . Umesh clocked 153 maybe in 2011/12 tests.

 

Ishant clocked 152.5 or something in some ODI in Australia. 

 

I don't think any Indian bowler has clocked 154 and above. Allegedly, Sri did back in 96/97  before his shoulder injury . But his fastest recorded is 149.6 . So it's hard to say. 

 

Maybe Aaron did clocked 154 kph but I'm not sure

Right bro. Liking what I am seeing from Umran. Like you said mostly bowling just back of length is the right approach for him because of his height and he is mixing it up with the odd fuller one. I have noticed he is also bowling a scrambled seam ball too which is slower around 137.

Shardul misses a straight ball that was played off Umran and it goes for a  4.

 

7 extra runs that Umran had to concede till his 6th over due to poor fielding and poor field placement.

Happy to see accuracy + movement from him at full pace. Still bowling lots of 145 k+.

Watching umran bowl makes me wonder how useless chetan sharma is . This guy with shardul in place of boobi and express patel might have helped us go to finals . 
 

i am sure as we approach wc , we will be back to boobi and Harshal express for the renowned slow spin bowling they do .
