Not gonna win on these pitches with short skiddy bowlers all the time. Doesn't matter if Umran bowls even 157 KS.  We need atleast 1 guy who can bowl cross seam from a high release.

Prasidh, Kartik, Mohsin, Simarjeet, Kuldeep Sen...all are tall and quick. Kaverappa is medium fast as well, but khelenge trundlers hi.

Ya we have never seen such figures in flattest of pitches by our trundlers Patel, bhubhi bhaiya and Avesh the grunting giant. I have seen them getting massacred on bowling friendly pitches by some very ordinary batsmen. Why scrutinize an youngster who is merely 23 years old and fastest bowler in our entire history especially when he has bowling avg of 25 which is not so bad

Thats why he should hv played earlier 2 matches as well..give him proper run..not just drop him and dent his confidence again and again

Each time Umran bowls full the speeds are not shown. His first ball was an inswinging yorker and appeared quite rapid. Didnt show the speeds

I am not saying that he should be replaced by Bhuvi, it's just that world cup is not for experimentation and he should learn quickly how to keep his economy in check as world cup is in this year itself.

ER has to be considered in the context of the match, pitch and boundary size.

 

We have scored at almost 8 an over in our innings despite faltering in the 2nd half.

 

8 to 8.5 an over is par on this flat pitch and in this small ground.

 

Umran has given away 52 runs from 7 overs at 7.4 runs an over and has dismissed the rampaging Conway.

 

I will take this from anyone, let alone a rookie.
