Tyagi bowled well in last year's UPt20.

 

Despite playing less games, he was highest wicket taker. Took 2 hattricks in 5 or 6 games and even took a 6fer.

 

His raw pace was too much to handle, his yorkers were pinpoint and hitting the stumps.

 

His fuller deliveries are excellent, his radar goes haywire due to his back of length deliveries and he often bowls wide of crease.

He is a known entity in Ind cricketing circles a capped IPL player, do not need local t20 leagues to establish himself or make some kind of waves that IPL teams looks into him.

 

These leagues are good place for uncapped (in ipl ) player to get some attention - Rizvi , Chikara , priyanshu, sujal etc.  those kind of player need these leagues.

So that they get some call for trials by the IPL teams.

Agree, what I was saying that he has serious potential. He needs someone to guide him as he is changing his action every season and getting injured often.

 

Somewhere someone is misguiding him or not talking to him at all. A young fast bowler like him shouldn't be left alone, someone need to be there to guide him.

Umran, tyagi,sen missed a big opportunity by missing this duleep trophy , it was broadcasted , speedomteters were there. 

They might not need to take 5/6 wkt haul but bowl fast that would created some positive noise for them on SM. but hey were injured 

 

The expectation is because of the raw ingredients he has..its a different story he is not making progress in accuracy and fitness..which is very disappointing as well as frustrating..

from my perspective..a polished Kartik Tyagi is more lethal than a polished Mayank and polished Umran..

 if he is inaccurate and unfit..no point to compare..but would like BCCI to help him to discover his true bowling self.

do not think he has ind future anymore, may be some stop gap if he is lucky. Ind wasted last 3/4 yrs with low potential or already aging bowlers

You had to watch him in Sayed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He was consistently in 150s.

Polished Mayank  》 Polished Tyagi  》 Polished Umran

 

Because Mayank would get the steepest bounce if these 3 quicks were to bowl the same length .... and he hits the bat the hardest too.

that got him ipl contract , but he is not getting any gametime. 

he joins ipl teams half fit, plays 1-2 games and do some sm interaction- do not want to sound harsh but thats the reality .ppl like nalkande , and ageing  warior started over him

okay..I am also considering the movement Tyagi may bring into the equation..seam movement at that pace..is threatening..the variety he brings makes me think he is better..he can bowl at any stages of the match..but all is waste if he keeps on erratic..and unfit..he just cant be a good bowler only on paper..

Tyagi swings the ball on occasions which I haven't seen Mayank do yet. 

 

But Mayank gets more consistent seam movement compared to Tyagi, and seam movement happens more often plus is more difficult to handle as it happens after pitching. 

 

Both can bowl decent yorkers and slower balls. 

 

I get the feel that Mayank uses his brain the most, then Tyagi and then Umran.

Thats what makes me excited about Mayank..I saw his pre IPL interview with Manjot Kalra..and he looks like a person who thinks well..I would like to see him become the leader of pace attack like Bumrah one day..

 

ofc if he is able to get consistent seam movement..with the pace and accuracy he has..survival against him is difficult for any batsman.

In high pressure situations say something like IPL his deliveries are rather wide than the angling one which he does here in domestics against average batsmen,he tends to bowl so wide with the crease(which is same as here)

But deliveries don't come angling in,his arms are all over the place in period of months

Do not think there ever will be polished tyagi , he has been there in ipl system for 4/5 seasons now. Hardly played anything.

 

With Umran there is a constrain that he proved to be costly  and Bhvi offers eco and wkts and then  cummins is there and then LAF of undakat. do not think he will get chance unless he proves himself in what ever matches he gets.--- Valid reason to sit Umran out

 

with manyank he got injured mide season thats why he is out of the action. --- Valid reason to sit mayank out

 

What is issue with tyagi ??--its been 4/5 seasons now, is he turning up injured every season ?? or teams do not find him good enough to be tried ??

no team is ready to invest in him or give him any chance -- What is his reason ??

 

After smat thought this would be his break-out season but he played 1 game and then missed up t20 league and was then the Duleep trophy -not sure if he would have been picked if not injured
