Four pacers will be Bumrah, Akash, Siraj and Prasidh Otherwise they should have taken him on A tour Harshit played for the Senior Team in the practice match vs India A. Along with Bumrah, Akashdeep and Siraj. They are scared of injuries and hence no A-tour for him. Practice match for preparation. Adamant 1

He should be. 9 hours ago, vishalvirsingh said: exactlly i feel the same- at least for first test boom , akash and siraj are confirmed. prasidh and rana fight for the 4th spot if they want to pick a genuine pace bowler but if they feel they just need a Support bowler then they will go with Nitish reddy. Nitish 's batting is fair or i would say his strong point and his pace bowling is his weak point, though on the perth wicket if he manages to take some wickets and not score much runs still his batting is way good as he bats at no 4 and no 5 for his state side and probably bowls first change. GG and rohit have to decide if they want a genuine pacer or a support Pacer who can bat- if they decide genuine pacer then Prasidh may be picked ahead of Harshit rana as Prasidh got few wickets in the INDIA A match and probably out bowled Mukesh kumar and Saini. Gist is team management may pick Prasidh ( if genuine pacer is required) or Nitish reddy ( if AR is required ). RANA could be picked in second test when he is fully ready and one of the pacers is hurt or out of form. so for me line up eswaran ( KL is hurt and he may have reasons that my arm aches ) jaiswal ( he will highest Scoring batsman among Indians) Gill kohli Rishabh Jurel ( ahead of Sarfaraz) washington Prasidh ( rana wont be picked ) or NITISH Reddy. akashdeep BOOM Siraj if they pick Nitish reddy , they will have batting depth till no 8 , nitish may be able to pick wickets on perth but on other flatter tracks he may not be good enough. Akash and Jasprit are going to be OUTSTANDING Pacers of INDIAN team in this Series. BOOM or Akashdeep will get maximum wickets in this series. BOOM may bowl from 130k to 150 k in this TEST Match & Akash will bowl from 130K to 146K in this TEST Match AKASH and BOOM both may get 5 wickets each in at least one innings. Completely in sync with the above lineup. Its the best we can come up with, hopefully Rohit plays the first match ahead of Easwaran.

If they want some batting at 8 they may pick Reddy. But Bumrah, Harshit, Akashdeep, Siraj / Prasidh would give them a solid pace attack. Want to see a lineup of Bumrah, Shami, Harshit, Prasidh later in the series. 2 high quality quicks moving the new ball at 140 k+ and 2 tall young quicks bouncing the older ball at 140 k+. MK55 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I hope they play both Harshit and Prasidh together. Would be a brain dead decision if Siraj is preferred over any one of them. I’ve seen enough of that clown Siraj over the last 2 years to know what he’s gonna bring to the table. Not sold on Akashdeep. He hasn’t really looked great besides his debut match. Prasidh performed well in that A game and his specific skills will make him more effective in Perth. I’m sure he’s desperate to set things straight after that SA debacle. Heard Starc is in great rhythm. So need the three best (if not 4) rhythm bowlers to play in the first test. So I want Bumrah Harshit Prasidh if they decide to play 3. Will add in Akashdeep if they want 4.

Siraj won us a match last year in SouthAfrica, he failed in home conditions recently but that’s not enough to drop him away from home. Edited November 17, 2024 by Adamant

With Harshit and Nitish as likely debutants, the TM would like the other 2 pacers with experience of bowling in Australia. I think it will be 7. Jadeja 8. Nitish 9. Harshit 10. Bumrah 11. Siraj Mosher 1
