That's why I appreciate Gautam.

Had there been dravid or say VvS as our coach..harshit would not be playing ..our attack would be akashdeep siraj boom jaddu Washington

But GG strengthened pace attack by getting a fast bowler harshit as jasprit is fast but siraj, akash  are medium pacers now.

Now jaspreet is getting full support.

Out of form Siraj should not be in our 11.

Akash though would have been more helpful in this pitch.

Akashdeep makes batters play, he will in process may give some runs but will take wickets.

Siraj atleast today was not making batters play him. In Tests you have to do that.

Solid debut for Harshit Rana.

3 for 48 in his first test innings. Not easy to do in Australia. Displayed good temperament.

Really good speeds on day two, 136 k to 144 k mostly.  Fastest of atleast 144.5 kph. Saw a few more at 142 k to 144 k.

Got zip and bounce off the deck.

Seamed the ball both ways. Happy to see that he is moving the ball away from RHB too this season.

Bowled with good accuracy today. Needs to cut down on his one boundary ball per over. His other 5 balls are ususlly good.

Bowled some nasty bumpers. Dismissed Lyon with one. Hit Starc on the head with another.

Good to see that he is already Captain Bumrah's go to bowler ahead of Senior Siraj. (  and Bumrah knows a thing or two about quick bowling )

Hopefully gets new ball next innings.

Akashdeep needs to replace Siraj

Couldn't have gotten the better pitch to bowl on debut.

Could have got carried away too seeing a green track or wilted under pressure. But did not.

Remember what happened to Prasidh in SA ?

Prasidh probably played with back injury. So wouldn't judge him based on that. He was out due to stress fracture since then. Prasidh also has always lacked control.

I suspect the same.

Should get a couple of games in Aussie land.

yeah we need to rotate pacers instead of overloading. Already Bumrah bowled too much.
