The only reason I (used to) get excited for ipl is because for a long time it used to be a tournament where some new fast bowling talent got exposure. That’s sadly not the case anymore. F this ipl.

 

The former cricketers n ‘coaches/mentors’ are even more horrible. Nehra, Zaheer etc. f morons lol.

It’s the f mindset that these guys n former crickets have got. Just nothing can change that. It needs to be inherent.
I think Gambhir is doing a good job introducing guys like Rana, Mayank etc. I’m sure he played a role.

Or is everyone in general among the population is also having this c*** attitude in India. This would have never happened in Australia.

Franchises want more slower,cutter specialists

Understandable because these guys get to play more in slow low sluggish surfaces as the event goes on

Pitches are piss poor and pathetic for fast bowling only the top tiers survive on them

Hangargekar is with LSG??? Hopefully rest get picked in maybe 2nd round but when Ind TM and selectors puts faith in certain type of bowler/players IPL teams tries to get those player or that kind of player in their team so that their players have higher chances of getting into Ind team.

 

 Kamboj ,Dar were part of emergining Ind team and hence the IPL teams are going for them. Though they did not look anything special compared to other bowlers in the Emerging Asia cup. but they were picked in some kind of Ind team and IPL teams see them in Ind team in future so they want to invest in them

KKR has Vaibhav and Harshit but they are a franchise that backs young talent & who else other than Bharat Arun to guide Umran.

Any new IPL fast bowling pick to watch-out for ....??

Ramakrishna Ghosh (CSK) -Saw him in Maha-T20 league played for same team as rutu, bowled at decent pace for the league and played in top order in few games

MS Dhoni and KKR should get credit for this. They created this consistent template in IPL of slow tracks/stacking team with spinners and qualifying or even winning the title.

India is not the place to value pacers,I have always maintained these guys must explore their careers in SENA

Nagarkoti's returns in last 2 games helped.

He gave less than 6 p.o. and picked up wickets...else he too would have went unsold.

 

Bawa was unsold in last season, seems he worked hard as done very well in this year FC and the 2 SMAT games with both bat and ball.

 

Hope this non selection pushes Hangargekar & Tyagi as well to work on their gaps.

I think Bawa was also struggling with injuries for good time previously..

additionally I think doors are not completely close for Bawa and Tyagi..

There will be some withdrawals due to injuries prior or in tournament..so they could be added later..
