Every Indian pacer is running out of steam later ( including Bumrah who has never suffered from this before )

it was really noticeable with Rana, more so than with Siraj - who I saw clock some 140 kph balls even in later spells at MCG.

Rana is a bit too heavy for test cricket. needs to undergo further conditioning.

Harshit definitely needs conditioning. He is quicker, more bouncy and more accurate in the first innings.

But, apart from Bumrah, our others pacers on this tour are almost always like Harshit in his 2nd innings.  :phehe:

Only Indian pacer sunce last decade that I can recall who didn't work on his fitness was Zaheer khan otherwise all of them Shami,Umesh,Ishant even Aaron(who looked bit bulky) afterwards and worked on fitness and hence maintained high pace for long

IN the first Test itself Harshit Proved that he is special.

every expert was singing praises for Harshit, probably Harshit got a little relaxed and did not push himself much in the next test.

What's the point of grooming trundlers who cannot assist BOOM in Australia or england or Africa or New Zealand.

i have been writing on insta , on twitter and here ..select pacers who average 138 to 140k in a 2-over Pace TEST. ask the shortlisted pacers to bowl 2 overs at a stretch and if they can average 138k at least consider them for tests/odi/even t20 for INDIA. train these pacers and let them represent INDIA.

else in sena our trundlers wont be able to beat 6 ft 3 inches SENA pacers. i was shocked to see one Bangladesh pacer 6 ft 3 inches tall bowling 138 to 147k and he did take few wickets but he is going to become a superstar in future.

He ran out of steam surprisingly fast in his later spells. He could have come in for Siraj perhaps.

Will Happen with all young pacers who haven't played much long form cricket. Not just Harshit. It takes years of bowling to develop long bowling stamina.

Rebuilding phase now.
Boom and Siraj are the leaders now ( assuming Shami won't last long)
Rana, Akashdeep, Prasidh and Mukesh are next in line. Lets see who can win a test with their bowling.

Siraj is hardly a leader.

Bumrah snorter injures Khwaja. Fingers getting treated.

first two balls at sub-130 kph if I registered them correctly. Seems to have mental block vs Konstas.

Want Bumrah to bowl 140 k+ with bounce irrespective of the early looseners.

let's see how he does in 2nd over. if we get it today. I have a feeling more trundling may ensue

Yes but he has already played 30 tests. So leader based on seniority quota and nothing else.

I suppose so, in that sense

Bumrah bowling 137 k to 143 k consistently this morning from his 2nd over onwards. Lots of 140 k+ balls.

Hitting the deck really hard and generating steep bounce off length and back of a length.

Has hit Konstas on the shoulder.

Getting consistent seam movement and some outswing too.

Dismissed Labuchagne with a snorter bouncing off length.
