Tuk tuk stats padding batters .. medium pacers .. darter spinners. Thankfully, most people who watch cricket these days are not interested in the game of cricket but whether they are looking cool in their choice of players and matches they watch. its hard to coach an unorthodox player be it batter or bowlers and Ind coaching system is dated and risk averse. Its good that they want accuracy and consistency in general but there base lines are not properly set-up. ex- bowlers have to be accurate but they do not have base line of pace make a base that they have to be tall and 135+kmph same for spinners they should be able to hold their line and lengths but the requirement for spin is not there so you get darters make them spin the ball. Same for batter have to be solid in technique and play long innings but they do lack scoring - Ind's greatest Dravid had this problem that he sorted out, pujara had the problem. Need vision, foresightedness and bit of risk taking to create unorthodox and special players. And if they want template out of the mill player increase the standards and baseline. Though Ind cricketing system comes from street and maidans but it still lacks innovation which is hard to digest. Player like maxwell would have been lost in Ind system or he would have been some1 who could only hit sub 130kmph bowler and ordinary spinners. Warne would have been not got much of game time because those kind of spinner takes time to develop control line and bowl less number of white-balls, which coach and captain has that vision at domestic level Edited March 2, 2025 by tapandrun express bowling 1

Bowling like WC 23. not exactly like world cup as in the wc23 he looked almost unplayable and someone who could get 4- 5 wickets in each spell of 5 overs. i was shocked that he could not get HEAD. But yes, he is coming back to close to peak form and bowls 138 to 140k ,looks very accurate and dangerous- suddenly slow down to 133-135k, still manages to keep the batsman under control sometimes. his balls move regularly. i was pleasantly surprised to see even some Harshit's balls move a bit.

He too will have to pick a format he does not look like a t20i kind of bowler and with bhumrah its his 3rnd injury and 2nd in v.short period of time do not think he will be able to come back strong everytime. and with this thin pace bowling line-up and bench there will be extra load on bhumrah, mentioned this before the bgt the biggest win Ind could have fetched was to return from the series with uninjured bhumrah Vk1 and tweaker 2

I don't think he will be able to play back to back matches. With his current fitness, that day isnt far when we will be left stranded early in the match like we faced with Zak. Keep his as a reserve pacer, groom others as frontline. Shami can be played based on the pitch, conditions and matchups. express bowling, Vk1 and tapandrun 3
MK55 Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Has Mayank Yadav disappeared into oblivion? All I see on Google is some lame dating rumors instead of any actually rehab progress. The sports media is messed up. Won’t be surprised if he’s even out of the ipl or most of it. Almost 5 months. Pathetic handling.
MK55 Posted March 7, 2025 Posted March 7, 2025 Umran Malik is already lost in the system. Guy goes on to being in the international side to no opportunities anywhere. Also back then we had that moron Pandya captaining and opening the bowling in the T20 side, acting on a whim and barely giving any overs to other bowlers. And another obese character Rohit making stupid constipated faces on the field when a boundary got conceded. Even KL was a better captain than that clown.

There is no point in talking about umran and mayank at this point in, its now they will play when they will paly. As for reporting and all, no1 goes to do ground reporting till its a hot topic and whats is there to report they are recovering?? vvs should have been questioned as he was personally loking into mayank's recovery and umran was in nca after or during groin injury, is some1 going to do that ??--no if fit mayank will be in ipl playing 11, and for umran even if fit its getting hard for him to make it into 11. Here bcci has to take some measures if they have any kind of plans for them or for tht matter any fast bowler, Ind does not have fast bowler Edited March 7, 2025 by tapandrun MK55 1

A young tearaway bowler is exciting to watch and to track their progress. Better than some absolutely lame reporting as to who he was sitting next to in a match and who he’s apparently dating. express bowling 1

Apparently non-cricketing topic/news gets more eye-balls/views and click. this ct is good example of this more news of non-cricketing things, big players have retired and no topic on that and no topic on how eng event after having 2 batter in top 3 most runs in ct till now are still at bottom of table with -1 nrr, why top order batters are not hitting more 6s, is that the reason some of big run getters are still getting their teams to match losing situation

Reporting standards have fallen to the dump now. More than cricket...it's the non cricketing masala which makes more noise. Reporters too attract more views on talking about Lahori Chole Bhature instead of actually talking with regards to Indian Cricket. MK55 and express bowling 2
