Prasidh did bowl lots of 145 k to 150 k balls for GT.

Not doing it for India though and mostly operating within 140 k to 146 k. Which is why one may question his India commitment.

Prasidh is there but as you said his lack of commitment is a big question mark.

He is getting all the support he needs but will he be able to ramp up finally is uncertain.

Ashok, being raw will bring in the intensity and he has the ability to deliver the variety, just that he needs a guide at the start. What Nehra does with him will be something to be seen.

Yeah !  Have seen the entire range from Ashok. Yorkers, bumpers, outswingers, in-seamers, rising short balls and slower balls. Just needs more control and experience.

Nehra is the ideal guy to guide him.

Looks good tbh.. Aaron might be cooking in SRH

Aaron shoukd have went for Ashok in SRH as well.

GT is flooded with pacers. KKT cud have been another wild card...Umran & Tyagi are not at that level, Akashdeep struggles in T20. Harshit and Vaibhav are the only 2 dependable pacers.

I wanted Ashok in MI but you are right about KKR too.  But I remember Sakib Hussain didn't get games there neither did Umran.

Ashok and Gurnoor will warm the bench in GT unless by some miracle Nehra flips the script.

What I see from this small clip is he is either bowling too short or bowling yorkers, there was just one ball that hit good length. This is a problem with tall fast ballers in India, they ball too short, we see that with Prasidh Krishna as well, this works in domestic cricket, because those batsman don't usually face this kind of pace and bounce, so the bowlers get heaps of wickets. However, reality hits when they play international cricket, they get pulled and cut easily, as a tall bowler if you can hit good length, you become more dangerous due to extra bounce, short ball should be a surprise ball not stock ball, but these guys don't learn that probably due to lack decent coaches in domestic circuit.

Hopefully Aaron can get guide him better, but I am basing of this small sample, so may be I might be wrong about him.

Tarmale looks like a dangerous bowler here. Pace, bounce, accuracy and different types of deliveries. Varying lengths with expertise.

Why hasn't he played domestic cricket for Maharashtra yet !!!!

He has just started playing Mumbai club cricket. He comes from tennis ball cricket.

Bro, his first 3 wickets seemed to be off length balls. Camera angle not ideal to gauge length though. We have to see a ball by ball spell for better understanding.

And sometimes the coaches are to be blamed for short length bowling too. The moment they see a quick bowler they want short stuff. We saw Umran bowl good length in IPL 2022. But bowled too short for India.

There is always a dream of bowling 150 kph, I felt very happy: Ashok Sharma

“I didn’t know that I bowled 150 kph,” he said. “After my first over, when I was fielding on the boundary, my teammate came to me to give me some water. That is when he told me, ‘You have touched 150 kph today.’ I thought he was joking. I know that I bowl over 140 kph. I bowled 146 kph in the Rest-of-India game. Then I asked, ‘Did it seriously happen?’ He said, ‘Yes, 148, 146, 149, 150…

“There is always a dream of bowling 150 kph, I felt very happy that what I thought, I have done it. When I was a kid, I used to watch everyone – there was that dream of bowling 150 kph some day.”

"  said Ashok Sharma. “My elder brother also was a medium pacer, so I became one.   "

They may bowl 150 kph regularly but Indians always think of themselves as medium pacers.  :phehe:

I had heard a domestic cricket commentator say about Varun Aaron, ...  he is a very very quick " medium pacer "

Even if he is not ,high chance he will turn in to one. They bowl fast till they get selected in ipl and then try to turn in yo medium pacer. I am surprise to see even in t20 guys like Rana dont go out and out. He used to bowl around 150 in initial ipl but now if you see initial few ball will be 140 and then either bowl between 130-140 or slow stock balls.
