All we don't like his overseas test record and If you ask me records doesn't lie.He is the worst Test captain India has ever had . His captaincy in tests is just too unbearable .

Everyone is calling for cook's head which is the norm typically . IN my memory Dhoni is the only one who was under no pressure even after severe losses.. Cook would have been sacked after 0-8 and 2-1 at home. Cook's a pathetic leader as well.

saneindian Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Purely from numbers Cook as captain 24 tests, 1917 runs@44 with 7 100s Dhoni as captain 54 tests, 3119 runs@43 with 5 100s Leadership wise difficult to chose. Cook still better because he has been a captain only for two years whereas Dhoni despite 6 years of leadership has thoroughly stagnated and brings no fresh ideas to the table.

I can safely say that Dhoni is by far the worst test match captain that I have seen in the last 18 years that I have been following the game. Wins a test, the opposition are in disarray and the captain cool decides to play safe and gives up all the advantage to the opposition. Disgusting.

After the last test he clearly said that he needed to perform himself and also gave himself time till the end of this series as a captain. So there is a scope of improvement because he admits his shortcomings and he is ready to work on that. But for Dhoni captaincy seems to be a permanent job. The process is more important than the result.:hysterical:
