Was hoping that he'll be back to his best when he plays international cricket, but he didn't have a great couple of practice matches in England, and now in the first Test he has gotten out early in both innings. Has he lost his form or is it still too early to tell?
vvvslaxman Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 RCB failing as a whole is like seeing sun rise in the east.. Don't delve too much into it. Kohli's indifferent batting from time to time in Tests hurt his reputation as a batsman.He has to step up when the team needs him the most.

He sleeps when the series is still alive and scores some cheap tons when the series is dead to inflate his averages.

Everybody goes thru this phase We have seen tendulkar post 2008 and ppl called him off --- he has cut down on the onside play for few matches .... We have seen that with Ganguly as well .....remember siddhu said he is not even worth as the 12th man... Just have to see how long it carries and how he fight it out

Needs to have the approach he follows in ODIs, play ball according to merit. But in Tests, he seems to just stay at wicket which doesn't work. You have to look for runs too.

Yes, first test match and 2nd test match in South Africa were dead rubbers when all were failing.
Cricketics Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 He's getting starts, won't be t oo long before he hit a hundred or somethign. According to match report from the last practice game, he was looking in great touch in the practice match until he hit an inside edge or something. And in all the innings he got decent start in those practice games. So I am really not worried. Our batting as a whole has done well in this match. It's beyond expectation to be honest as we are not used to hearing India putting on this many runs in first test of an away game. I will take this performance since it was first test match. Hopefully better performance in the 2nd match.
