However, there are still some fundamentals flaws. This test match alone had a number of errors. In any case, it's great to finally get a win and I hope we continue with good results!

Fontaine Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 MS Dhoni deserves a LOT of credit for putting in that strategy of short pitched bowling but also sticking to it when England scored 4/5 quick boundaries. But make no mistake he needs to improve his test match batting against the moving ball and definitely needs to drop Binny if he's going to bat 8 and not bowl him at all.

It wont happen, so only thing one can hope for is MSD plays a ODI type innings like Jadeja did. Hanging out and tuk-tuk doesnt work in Test matches for MSD. For Tests, either Saha or n.ojha in future - must replace MSD.

Let's not forget his terrible decisions just because he got one right, which was also heavily assisted by England's mindless batting. There was no way a decent side with confidence would get out to the way Prior, Stokes and Root did.

He never looks like a player who had three tripple hundred to his name. He should make way to a regular spinner. Binny to be replaced by a regular bowler
