A two-game break is not going to cause great harm... It gives him valuable break before the Australia series and World Cup...

I feel Akshar Patel must be tried out but only if he is in the reckoning for the WC (which he should be).

PBN Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Akhsar kept it quite tight by bowling very economically as well picking up a couple of wickets. In an attempt to stop the flow of runs, he does fire them in though using the angle to good effect in LOI. He would need to make appropriate changes in the longer format and not get in the habit of using the same tactics there as well.

The pecking order for Tests is Ashwin, Jaddu Ojha Mishra Rest I didn't realise that Mishra was still up there - thought he basically only got a game when Ashwin was rested...I really like Ojha and don't think his action is as suspect as some make out, but I would probably not pick Mishra in a test given how bad he's been in his last few tests.

He was horrible in England but has improved a lot. Skill wise, he is the best spinner we have but sadly that means nothing without mindset.
