BlackMamba Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Gurunath Meiyappan, N Srinivasan's son-in-law, is in further trouble following reports that the Central Forensic Science Laboratory has identified his voice in tapped audio the Mumbai police came across during their investigation into spot-fixing and betting at the Indian Premier League. Early this year, a three-member committee, headed by former Chief Justice of Punjab Mukul Mudgal, found Chennai Super Kings team principal Gurunath guilty of betting and passing on information to illegal bookmakers. In view of the committee's findings, the Supreme Court had suspended BCCI president Srinivasan saying his role as BCCI head may affect the probe. Consequently, India captain Sunil Gavaskar stepped into the breach for a while. The SC released Gavaskar in July and named Shivlal Yadav as new interim president. If the court finds Gurunath guilty, CSK, owned by Srinavasan's company India Cements Limited, could be banned from the T20 league. The Mudgal committee is expected to submit its final report on October 30. The next hearing of the case is on November 10.
