Austin 3:!6 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Was having lunch break at work and suddenly one my collegaue calls me saying "Dude Sachin is coming". I thought my ex manager and asked him - "Sachin Dua?" He replied - "No Sachin Tendulkar. To sell his book". Took 2 minutes to sink in and then dropped my lunch box and rushed to see the maestro. My office is in Canary Wharf, in Bank Street and Sachin Paaji was here today to sign his book for his Bhakts. When I went the area, there was a already massive queue but I forced my way in. He was suppose to come at 1pm but got delayed. We all were standing curiously and few people even start joking - "Is he having lunch at Wagamamas". Suddenly a massive chant - "Sachin, Sachin...Ganapati Bappa Moriya" emerged. Securities started pushing overflowing people and finally we got to witness the man. In a blue BCCI suit, curly hair, with his typical smile he waived hands at everyone and then sat down to sign books. I have never seen so much rush in Canary Wharf area. Not when premier league cup was brought here, not when SRK came here for JTHJ shooting. This was chaotic and reminds us again why he is the greatest hero. It was lunch hour on friday afternoon and seems like all the Banks were seized. P.S - I have few very hazy pictures as it was impossible to stand. I will try to upload soon
