Nope . He was not. He hit a six , four.. and another four.. suddenly he started taking singles. It is not like his tiredness suddenly struck him at 186 :cantstop: Come on.. just saying.. he could have gotten a lot more . Secondly most of the tired guys will go for shot and get out..they won't want to stay there at the crease as long as possible. First ever 200.. so he was a bit cautious.

Tendulkar played against a better bowling attack, and without any chances. :hatsoff: And its testimony to his skill that he was already at 183 at 43 overs from just 136 balls without any sort of over the top slogging. Just masterful cricketing strokes all around. SA were completely deflated, and Dhoni administered the coup-de-grace. Sachin was too tired towards the end, aged 37 without any runners, and managed to give Dhoni, who was fresh and roaring brilliant support, just like how Uthappa gave Rohit support towards the end. A perfect ODI innings, chanceless, beautifully paced and resource effective. :hatsoff:

Oh wait. On the contrary, he was dog tired, started suffering from cramps, and decided it is in best interest of the team if he did not waste many deliveries and started giving Dhoni, the fresh man at the crease, and in form, most of the strike.

He could not because he was looking to score his double by picking singles. If he had tried to hit boundaries, he might have had more strike. It was opposite to last ODI where set batsman was hitting boundaries and new batsman gave him strike. In SRT's case, it was just opposite. I am not saying it was wrong. Who would not have wanted a double in ODIs that too first ever.
