rkt.india Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I rarely get attacked when u bowl well Obviously philander of South Africa will leak too if he is attacked but most of times that does not happen and he is key to others bowling aggressively BK is a certainty. Ishant seems certainty too. Only place up for grab is 3rd pacer between Aaron, Shami and Umesh. Shami has also done decently in warmups.

He might be rested for this as they wanted to see how others go with new ball, so he was not given a bowl or other reason, he might have some niggle.

Does this mean he is already a certainty or he is not part of the plans ? Its still weird that he didnt get any practice before the test series because he has never played in Australia before.

So he may well be considered a certainty in the lineup for first test and given a rest for this practice game. i beleive that Bhuvi could be rested for the first test as well. for me the three pacers have to be Varun UMESH and ISHANT and ideally karan the Spinner as He is bowling very well.

He is no Sehwag and we should not look for a Sehwag like batsman. We need another solid opener like Vijay who has a decent defense. Only then our middle order will be able to score big.

They need to seriously think about giving a chance to kl rahul. it seems like dhawan will just give slip catching practice to opposition. opening partnership of even 30 is critical for not exposing middle order to new ball.

Kohli also likes Ishant's bowling so i beleive Shammi and Bhuvi may miss out. Dhoni could also captain.. i think Bhuvi may be asked to relax ... if he was to be played why wasnt he asked to bowl even a single over in the second match??? i think the race is between the 4 pacers and 3 out of them would play.. actually race is only in 3 pacers as AARON is a certainity. 2 out of 3 will play.
