velu Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 lol.. He is not one of them who steps aside. He has to be thrown aside and I doubt that will happen. I feel there are many things in which Dhoni and Srini are together' date=' so Srini won't let that throwing happen.[/quote'] Another conspiracy theory Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pagalpanti Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Its ironic though. I still remember how Kumble was forced out in the B&G series when MSD seemed like the fresh change our test team needed. A few years down the line, the shoes have changed.
Jersey #10 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Srini thinks otherwise. Kohli is so ready to take over though. It's extremely obvious at this point... I'd even consider letting Kohli lead in the WC. One year ago, I would not have wanted Kohli as a captain but boy does he deserve it? Cliché but I think Dhoni's best days are behind him. He's worse than a tailender as a batsman in Australia.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 dhoni is shameless, he used to be a hero to me
The Realist Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Dhoni is so past his best before date that he makes Cook look fresh & innovative in comparison. His presence in the team now is the fundamental problem. "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

He could have stayed on and played the whole series. Everyone could see that he was done and Kumble being an honorable man did the right thing by stepping down. Dhoni on the other hand is a completely different character. Honor is not something you would want to associate with him.

LOL. he would come to India and smash a few knocks in ODIs and would become a hero again. That is Indian public for you. In the mean time he is minting millions of dollars.
rajmarie Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 maybe? hes done 2 yrs overtime ffs  Agreed. He should have quit himself after the whitewash 4-0 against England if he had any moral.
GolGappe Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 If he has an ounce of dignity, he should quit after this test series. The results will not change overnight but the accountability has to start from the guys at the top.

TheWall Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Seriously Dhoni should quit playing test and concentrate only on shorter version
SLICKR392 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Running out of time after placing us 7th in the ranking? Should have been down and out as Test captain in Jan 2012.
rkt.india Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Dhoni may go but it wont affect results till we have bowlers who have no control over their bowling.
adi B Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Nzl have 94 points, they'll hammer lanka and go above us.we might go down to 92. Pak 104,sl 102,nzl may go to 100.
zep1706 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Running out of time after placing us 7th in the ranking? Should have been down and out as Test captain in Jan 2012. The utter disgrace is that he was sacked by the selectors but was saved by his godfather, instead the selector (Amarnath) got sacked. If he had even an ounce of dignity he would have stepped down voluntarily. He is just like a politician, sucking it in as much as he can when he has the power.
CSK Fan Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Dhoni may go but it wont affect results till we have bowlers who have no control over their bowling. They just need a bit of confidence and direction. Yadav is obviously much more comfortable with Kohli
rkt.india Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 They just need a bit of confidence and direction. Yadav is obviously much more comfortable with Kohli Agree. They need to first get the basics of test bowling right. BK is the only bowler in this team who does basics right. He has his limitations, but he knows them and still bowl well. Even if you are bowling fast, you will still have to bowl like how BK bowls to be successful because at test level margin of error is very minimal.
Marut Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Take it from me - Dhoni will be captain until 2017 or until he retires, whichever is later.
