Players who are good at playing spin will thrash him no doubt..

Players who are good at playing spin will thrash him no doubt.. They would be really silly not to play Yasir Shah. I saw Warney hyping him big before the game and frankly I did not buy it. Then I saw him bowl. He did not really do great against us as Dhawan and Kohli batted great,but you could see that he was bowling terrific line and very rare deliveries. Intact, Kohli opted for a classy but risky cut shot to get a boundary of him. But then again. for me, Irish top 5 is the key. They got some county cricket stalwarts who looked really composed yesterday. I hope they realize the need to not give Yasir Shah or any spinner much chance, and then they can really win. Negotiating spinners is what Ireland needs to work on. They played Windies great but struggled to Samuels and Gayle who were mixing the speed.

His bowling didnt work against us cuz when he was bowling, we had Dhawan, Raina and Kohli on... 2 out of 3 are lefties and all three are good players of spin. Yasir Shah and Afridi can really choke IRL power hitters.

It will mean that South Africa might finish 3rd in the group and could face Australia or New Zealand in the quarter finals. I would love to see that happen in a quarter final.

Another option to knock out the hosts would be if WI is pitted vs. one of them and a couple of guys from the WI have a memorable game .... Adelaide has short side boundaries and grounds in NZ are relatively small anyways

I feel they can at best beat New Zealand, whcih is also hard. But, somehow I do see them doing well against South Africa, even though South Africa are still a great top side. Also on that note, I still believe that they are good enough side to beat India too. India always somehow find a way to struggle or not put their best against Windies. Watching cricket in late 90s when Windies were really struggling at times when Ambrose and Walsh had quit, and they were losingto everyone out there, we somehow still managed to lose to them in crucial games or even lose series to them. I remember seeing India strugggle to Vasbert Drakes, Franklyn Rose etc or any Windies bowler for that matter. I hope this changes. I reallyl want to see India dominating them.

I know SA have their reputation, but if they were to lose enough matches to end up #4, hopefully they are galvanized enough WI can be very unpredictable. That said, I would like Ind to beat Aus (SF or Finals). I glean a lot of satisfaction beating Aus in KOs. My fave match was QF in 2011. I didn't really care for the other two with as much passion. They were just underscoring our championship status. But the Aus QF was when I knew, we were on to something special.

Thing is Pak have two wrist spinners, so Pak does have an advantage there.
