Improved doesn't mean one has to become a great bowler against every opponent.

Defending 120 in 20 overs. From what I have seen of Ashwin... When he bowls well, he bowls well irrespective of how much he has to defend. When he is garbage, he is garbage no matter how much cushion he has.

If he starts getting hammered then we can talk about it. He was India's most successful bowler in the Asia cup last year and also he bowled exceedingly well against SA in T20 Semi-final when the Indian fan favorite Amit Mishra was having a melt down under pressure. Well after anti-Vijay campaign fell flat after the opener proved everyone wrong with consistent performances, now it is Anti-Ashwin campaign. India will not rest unless these two are thrown out of the team for good.

The way fans in social media talk, it would seem to a neutral that Vijay and Ashwin are sifarishi selections but the truth is different.

I doubt ASHwin can deliver any better in every matches, shah was hit 60 in 8 overs vs India.Little help for spinners at Perth.during coming matches. Pakistan make big mistake to not incl.shah vs. W.I,whose hard hitters are weak vs. Any spin, no way WESTINDIES post 300 plus if M.HAFFEZ and AJMAL share 20 of 50 overs.

Binny will, so you don't have to worry about him being hit. Dhoni gave Binny chances in Australia Tri-Series because of that reason. Either Ashwin or Binny will play in the X1 based on the pitches.

There is no pressure on him as such when he comes out to bowl. The moment the score is 100/0 after 15 overs when he comes in to bowl, you'd see a different ashwin, an ashwin who darts the ball on the pads from around the wicket and bowl defensively.

Make him play on pace friendly tracks and judge him when the pacers flop? So by the same yardstick, we should judge pacers when spinners fail to take a single wicket on rank turners. Going by that yardstick, Aussie pacers are garbage in Tests based on their performances in India and UAE. :giggle:

Indian team has been playing over the past year in the most unfriendly conditions for spinners like SA, NZ, Eng and Aus. He was never going to run through the home sides in those conditions. Also, you have to remember he was playing in most of these conditions for the first time - you need to get used to the weather, the ball, how the pitch behaves, which lengths to bowl etc. and its quite tough for someone who is inexperienced in those conditions and you need to learn and adapt by playing more. He will get better and better as he bowls more.
