Only fools can make him sit on a bench. there was a guy called shaun tait and another called shoiab akhtar who bowled at 150+ pace... when ever they were genuinely fit and ready ..they were played by their teams. I saw a bowl from tait which took possibly a second from wicket keeper's gloves to outside of the ground. 150 + is such a fearsome Pace that only brave guys with very good eye sight and batting skills can only PLAY. I remember facing a bowler at Azaad maidan who was in MCA and was bowling in nets to Indian cricketers also...I guess he was bowling around 127k .. and I was finding it very tuf to be bold enough to see those balls passing close to my shoulders.. I just watched that ball passing close to my nose and shoulders..i thanked god that it did not hit my helmet or my grill. 130K is so fast than 150k wud be like unplayabale. with fearsome pace batsman get lucky too some times as they get edges and get runs....please understand those runs do not give much confidence to batsman and those runs should not be counted against the bowler.

I'm not sure what quickest ball I've faced, I'm guessing 125-130, but I'll tell you this, I faced such bowling many times in daylight, and I've also faced the same bowlers under lights, and I'm not sure if it was just me but damn, I really struggled to see the ball under lights, I'd hate to think what facing 150 would be like under lights. And you shouldn't put the names Tait and Akhtar in the same sentence, Tait was crap, he was fast but you need more than pace, Tait had 3 deliveries, short-full or wide, he was taken to cleaners when tried at test level.

NareshK Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 To be quite honest, he looks sh!t scared whenever he goes to bat against someone who can bowl quick bouncers. I have never seen tail enders look so frightened as he does. You know he is trembling and feeling very nervous from his footwork and the way he bats against pacers. Anderson is another guy who looks very scared that he would get hit.

Respect to the batsmen who used to face WI quartet, Lillee, Thommo without helmets those days.[/quote'] I remember a young Brian Lara coming to Australia in the 90s, he had a massive back lift and a flail before he struck the ball, every kid tried copying it because it looked cool as, but not just the kids, Ricky Ponting also adopted it, with massive failure, I can't rememer if he lost his spot in the Aussie side or not but he eventually learnt it wasn't for him. And why would it be? Lara's technique was massively flawed, how he did what he did how he did is mind boggling, he was probably the most gifted batsman we've ever seen, Bradman included.
