There are teams that I would root against even if they are not playing India - England leads this group by a fair distance, followed by Sri Lanka - fans, players, ex-players they've all got issues against India. I hardly ever find myself rooting against Pakistan against test teams - of course I definitely root for minnows against them for the LOL factor. Afghanistan, Kiwis and Windies are teams that I actively root for against most opposition. Agree with a lot of posters here - fans especially forum fans, can make it very easy to dislike certain teams - bangles and even Pakistan to some extent fit this category...

There used to be whole lot of cheating and maa-bhen galiyaz whenever either side used to tour other colony. For some reason, even though the wickets were same, home team always used to win at their home and suck at the away game(which was just in another park, just a mile away). One time my team/colony were about to beat them at their ground. We came to know that they were short of money and that even if we win the game, they won't give us the full money, which is RS. 110 that is 10 rupees for each player. They started creating some fights so that the game gets abandoned before they could lose. Eventually, they fought for a wide and the game ended right there with no result as a big fight broke out. We didn't get the deserving money, but we surely exchanged lot of maa-bhen gaaliz with them. It was great fun to steal their stumps and a bat and bring it to our colony since they did not want to pay us the money(I remember the guy in the other team was crying since he personally owned those stumps and the bat.) We came back to our colony on our bicycles as heros who had just won a Sahara Cup or an Ashes series. We made sure to never give those stumps back and bat to the guy. I don't know where those opposition people are today, but I guess I STILL HATE THEM. :)

The guy from the other team who was the owner of the bat and the stumps was a totala(stammer note - Not the stuttering stammer). He was the most chalaak(clever) kid in the team also and even though wasn't the captain, he was the face of the team as he used to schedule the game against our captain(used to come on his dad's bajaj chetak to our colony) and also would be the first guy to start a fight. Since he was a totala, whenever he used to get out, we used to say "tote ud gaye" which used to irritate him. He was a packhole though. I would love to schedule another game with him today if I ever see him.

We used to play in a similar way for matches with other blocks i.e match fee and the winner takes all. :two_thumbs_up: The umpires used to be from the opposite team so there was a lot of 'rondi' at times lol

I want full-strength Aus team beat - I guess with Aus it is more of the contest for me because I know they won't bottle it like SA, and keep fighting to the end.
