vijay50 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Its been exactly 2 years since Sehwag last played tests. With Dhawans poor form and Dhoni retired, Sehwag must be back for home tests. I miss his genius battjng and aggressive play in tests and ODIs.

Than Sidhu responds by referring Bangladesh as "Kangaal to Malamaal" basically from rags to riches in Pure Hindi. But he kangaal is a word which might hurt sentiments of desi people when you term them as low profile. If it was derogatory, we would know it. If BD fans are taking objections on such trivial things then I would say one thing. They are obsessed. You have no idea how many times Aussies or English commies had referred to these minor minor connotations against us. We don't have a bad blood against them. We just take healthy competition against Aussies which is great for the game but this BANG stuff is way over me. I hope BANG fans calm down a bit.

Downright hilarious.:haha: 1st game we won by 1 wicket when Yadav and Aaron added 12 runs for the last wickets. Ian Bishop asked did you say something to these guys when they went in to bat ? Sehwag said no, they are no. 10 and 11. No matter what I tell them, they will do what they feel like. Next game WI batting first were 160-9 and then added 100 more for the last wicket in the last 12 overs but India chased 260 quite easily. Sehwag said at first I tried a few things when last wicket partnership was going on but it didn't work so I thought its okay. Today is their day let them play, we will also focus on our batting.:haha: Yadav told he once asked him in the death overs, like how should I bowl the last ball. Sehwag said "Bowler toh tu hai, mujhe kya poochh rha hai". :giggle: And there are so many other incidents like this. Epic. :hail:

I remember they were critical of mandira bedi's comment saying BD was lucky to win against India in 2007.They went mad against set max to remove her or to ask her to apologize them.

Based on current ranking i.e 9th in odis- Bangladesh will have to qualify for world cup 2019 just to play in it .

We are definitely in TOP4 fielding sides now. Much better than the bottom 5-6 teams. Besides do you see anyone going bonkers over Nasser NOW? We all forgot and moved on. What BD fans are hurting more with is their pathetic record against international teams. They will have to earn that respect by performing at the highest level. We have been one of the TOP 2-3 teams for a long time now. We have been challenging AUS, SA long enough now. We have beaten them on numerous occasions. Just like they beat is black and blue when we visit them, we return it when they visit us gracefully. SRT hit 175 against Aus and 200 against SA. So many players have done exceptionally well against these top 2 teams. We earned that respect, not just because we are rich nation or we have the most successfully Premier league. Our players have been known to be the most humble of all.

I mean, as you mentioned, there are far worse comments given on certain players by analyst and anchors.

I don't think Donkey episode has any effect on fielding standard .I would rather give credit to new team members ,who take fielding seriously .Old players were lethargic and slow barring one or two .
