MCcricket Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 OK let me tell you one thing I subconsciously felt but never thought about, he is my favorite cricketer, most enthralling to watch, a genius by virtue of talent n single minded thought process, badly treated by Indian cricket, a maverick who made test matches come alive like no batter has ever done
vijay50 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 OK let Ome tell you one thing I subconsciously felt but never thought about, he is my favorite cricketer, most enthralling to watch, a genius by virtue of talent n single minded thought process, badly treated by Indian cricket, a maverick who made test matches come alive like no batter has ever done ++++++.This. If only Sehwag is not lazy. I still think there is some cricket left in him. If only the new captain shows faith and if he keeps himself fit and try hard in Ranji. Kohli must speak to selectors to get Sehwag back.He is the KP of India.
jonas10 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Ill never forget when that pindu Umar Gul wouldnt shut up about how cheaply he'd get Sehwag out in Mohali. Sehwag said nothing and instead gave him a humiliation for the ages. Dummy couldnt even finish his full quota the Nawab bashed him so bad all over the ground. :hysterical:
Vilander Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=won;team=25;template=results;type=team;view=opposition He is not far from truth BD vs Pakistan 1 win 31 losses vs Srilanka 4 wins 33 losses vs India 3 wins 24 losses vs Australia 1 win 18 losses vs SA 1 win 13 losses vs England 3 wins 13 losses vs WI 7 wins 19 losses vs NZ 8 wins 17 losses This is their overall record. Except against NZ to some extent WI they have been whipping boys for years. They still continue to be one. wow.. they won a game in 1999 world cup against Padosis. Since then not a single win against them. Their away/neutral record against top teams is even worse 107 matches 95 losses 10 wins 2 NR. if they play more they will reach double digits in wins column and then it would be very easy to respect them from a cricket point of view, but i think their fans are very emotional.
vvvslaxman Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 He might not be known for making politically correct statements. But he is definitely one of the most unique test batsman ever to play. For an opener "blocking" was mandatory even at school level where we would play 25 over cricket. It is still the norm in many parts. This guy completely rewrote the script at the highest level of cricket. Warner sure has drawn some inspiration from him.
Shogun Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Viru should be inducted into the ICC Hall Of Fame for this statement alone
TheWall Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 He is a great player but a bigger moron Better than any bangladeshi....
GrandMasterSaxy Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 "I would like another player to become the match winner tomorrow" - wondering who is he addressing
Texan Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I think the headline has been taken out of context from the contents of OP. He seems to be saying that Bang is an easier opposition to beat compared to NZ,Aus,SA, which any person with even a little knowledge about the history of cricket will tell you is true.
jonas10 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 "I would like another player to become the match winner tomorrow" - wondering who is he addressing An opener like him who can put up big humiliating scores I presume.
GrandMasterSaxy Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 An opener like him who can put up big humiliating scores I presume. He has already taken big names - Virat (Kohli), to Shikhar Dhawan, Ashwin, Sharma and Umesh.

StriKe Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Awesome thread.. :cantstop: Rename to Sehwag quotes i:icflove: Keep sharing :nice:
jonas10 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 India batting first.....this isnt going to be pretty.
Sonix768 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I remember before a test he was captaining against Bangladesh, he was saying "Bangladesh can't take 20 wickets against India". Bangladesh bowled brilliantly and bowled out India for less than 250 in the first innings and lost 8 wickets in the second innings and then he declared and said "They still didn't take 20 wickets".
